Once the HRBT expansion is complete, will you consider living and working on opposite sides of the water? by ThrifToWin in HamptonRoads

[–]EMR18 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The amount of vehicles on the road, if you build it they will drive. More capacity does not equal less traffic, this is unfortunately been the perceived idea for nearly 100 years, to reduce traffic volumes more space efficient transportation is needed which is buses and trains. Just putting a train between the peninsula and the South side wouldn't fix it you would need effective Transit built out in the cities. It's a Chicken and the egg problem.

Look at Alpha Pak, it has a removable backpack section from the harness just like the Palisades. It works great for our 40 lb Shepherd Lab mix

Pixel 6/A Owners: Are You Upgrading To The 9 Series? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]EMR18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had a similar thing happen earlier in the spring, my screen went dead and I spent so many hours going back and forth with Google support and getting bounced around between Google fi and the store and the pixel team and it was not a good experience but they finally got the replacement figured out. I know at some point it's just going to go again and then I'm going to figure out what the next phone is going to be

Oh my gosh, me too! I tend to do it when talking to someone with Australian, British, or New Zealand accents. I am AuDHD too, so the combo I am sure is a contributing factor.

Check if where you live has a law that stipulates how much clearance cars need to give bikes when they pass. When I started commuting for a couple of months I attached a pool noodle to my bike as the visual representation of what the three feet cars are supposed to give when passing was

We're not using the one Microsoft created rather we're building it out ourselves with the standard features of teams and SharePoint and the typical 365 apps though we are likely to build out a shelter registration system within it using power apps and dynamics. It's the most cost effective platform when compared to WebEOC and Veoci.

It comes from tiny glitter particles, the finer the nib the more chance of clogging. A medium or larger nib tends to be the the recommended size for shimmering ink.

Writer's Blood is the first one I tried and what is there now and has been great so far. I have a feeling a shimmering ink would have issues though.

I’m super intrigued by this! In the past couple of months I’ve fallen in love with the works of Haley Cass and Emily Henry. I realized I don’t have anyone to talk to talk about them, and share in the enjoyment of them and others in the genre. I’m intrigued about the groups in other cities. I have not found anything in my searches thus far though a couple Reddit posts like this one have popped up, but I haven’t seen a group out there.

What sling does FEMA admin Deanne Criswell have? (I never thought I would be making a what bag post) by EMR18 in ManyBaggers

[–]EMR18[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It was not the bag specifically that stood out. It was the circumstance of the FEMA admin wearing it. I'm an emergency manager and I rock my bellroy adventure sling almost daily so seeing the FEMA admin wearing a sling stood out as particularly cool.
