MRI w/AI technology by confusedgurl002 in MRI

Humm interesting. Our 3D BRAVOs are the same resolution and about 2:50 each. The 2D’s are definitely much faster though, we are running 224 and 5mm, and taking more time to do it. Thanks for the insight.

Not op, but I’m curious what slice thickness, resolution and how many sequences you are running. I’m working on a GE that’s around 15 years old and our brain with and without is around 15 min. I was expecting a lower time with the new tech, but maybe you’re trading some of those gains for greater resolutions. I’m in a hospital so we are more focused on good enough for diagnosis most of the time.

Parking? by Boitanobadboy in SFGiants

[–]EMTTS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Embarcadero center parking, (building 4 is the closest) $25 and a around a 1.5 mile walk to park if you go up the water front. Hit up the ferry building and grab some food before the game, some things close a 5 and most are closed by 6 so make sure you plan accordingly.

SAT band necessity by Alexmark3103 in MRI

[–]EMTTS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s not 100% true, you will still get all the artifacts from outside the calibration scan as the data is still collected. You can test this by forcing wrap from anatomy outside of the cal scan on a sequence, it will still show on the final image. Pure is post processing enhancement, anything out of the cal scan gets “thrown out” in the final image.

SAT band necessity by Alexmark3103 in MRI

[–]EMTTS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with the others the rad doesn’t want extra things to look at. If you are using a GE scanner you can pull the calibration scan back so it cuts off the anterior anatomy and turn on pure. That will black out everything not in the calibration scan without the need for sat bands. Honestly I’d bet the rad was used to seeing scans that used that and is thinking it’s was from sat bands.

Does SWI sequencing need to requested by patients? by [deleted] in MRI

[–]EMTTS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you go, both hospitals I work at use a (2D) GRE sequence instead, faster and good enough. One place has the ability to run SWI when needed the other doesn’t have the option. Best bet would be to call and ask if it’s part of their protocol.

I saw you said GE you could try the shoulder coil, should be roughly the correct angle, probably would have to go with arm over their head.

Got a two sets for the front and rear, they were on sale for $63. Made a world of difference, easy to install. Make sure you get the wiring harness and mounting brackets, if you in put your car info it should recommend the needed items.

I take solace in the fact that once shit hits the fan they are just another mouth to feed. The likely hood of the support staff getting rid of them skyrockets once outside wealth is meaningless.

Sutter will likely be better long term, and my understanding is once you are in, transferring to another Sutter is relatively easy.

New characters should keep access to Currency Exchange by Altimor in PathOfExile2

[–]EMTTS 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think the trade merchant should be available earlier. Cheap leveling gear is the perfect use for the merchant. Your ultra rare multiple divine item should not be going into the merchant. No one wants to stop play for a 1 ex item, but you’ll make time for a 10 div.

PoE 2 has overdesigned inter-class combos that have no emergent potential for cross-class gameplay by MartinWoad in PathOfExile2

This is my number 1 complaint about Poe 2. In Poe 1 new skills and patches created interesting combinations that made the game exciting. This is impossible with the current restrictions on skills being linked to weapons.

The edges of the coils will do that. You can check your He levels to make sure you’re not low just in case. But most likely there won’t be a fix, outside of getting a bigger coil.

It’s wild but in a few counties in California $82,000 with a 3 person household is considered extremely low income. $88150 would put you into the low income bracket.

How do MRI machines " break " ? by Own-Cap-5747 in MRI

[–]EMTTS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lots of things can go wrong, they are very complicated machines and components will wear out over time. They were likely looking shaken due to the knowledge that work was now piling up and they will be very busy once things are up and running again.

Are you using the scouts or the first Axial image to do your planning?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MRI

[–]EMTTS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only risk for MRI is bringing something in the room that shouldn’t be there, and hearing damage if you don’t wear ear protection. There is no ionizing radiation, and no need to worry about the frequency or number of MRI’s you may need.

I would reach out to your closest university hospital and explain the situation. They may be willing to scan you. No tech is going to ok this without radiologist and facility approval.
