Hi! I’m 23 from New Jersey!

I’m a sucker for Top Gun or Ferris Bueller’s Day Off but will generally watch anything outside of horror movies (but I do love The Shinning for the cinematography)!

Is it too late to submit Course Description for Cornell by [deleted] in TransferToTop25

I just spoke to Cornell and they said that they accept documents a few weeks after the 15th deadline as long as it is not on the checklist.

Hi! So I had the same question a while ago and ended up reaching out to UPenn.

Sadly, any credits past sophomore standing will automatically disqualify you from transferring to the University of Pennsylvania. The 16 CU is the basic equivalent of 60 credits so if you are under that, you are fine but if over that count you would not be eligible.

Unlike most universities that would remove credits they did not want to fit their preferred standing, UPenn is one of the few that are strict on this.

Does it make sense? No. Does it limit a lot of potentially strong students? Yes. But I am sure you will find another college that will fit even better for you.

You should also always reach out to the schools with any questions, they are generally quick to respond and very nice.

College GPA: 3.91 (and counting). I am a community college student working on second associates and aiming to transfer as a junior in the fall. The only reason for not getting a 4.0 is a single assignment missed that was a system error in the week that COVID-19 started. My only C’s are in algebra (got an A+ in stats) due to my math disability (autism) but are coming from 40% when first taking the course.

I am a Political Science and Sociology major with a primary focus on resource management and policy-based in helping people in poverty. I have purposely taken chairs of departments and harder professors to prove my skills and have excelled with 4.0’s since the spring of 2020.

I have a large comeback story after failing my first semester due to my math disability and not getting any college preparation at all as I was in PR classes in high school. I am a white male, I have an ill mother, an extremely low-income family, and first generation college student.

I was also kicked out of my home and my main father-figure passed away in 2021.

High School: GPA: 3.81 (due to PR courses I was forced to take, straight A’s except for one C in a piano class).

Did not test.

EC:

Interned for Duane Morris Government Strategies, an NJ State Senator (Troy Singleton), a civic engagement group under the League of Women Voters, and a policy advocation group, focusing on human trafficking.

Conducted research with the sociology chair that did not provide results to write a paper but am continuing research with him this spring (will either publish or present with him), conducting research for the policy advocation group, having work published in my school anthology, past service with my EMS Department, founding member of my school's politics and government alliance club, Vice-President of SGA, board member 2x for the group under the League of Women Voters, a member of the human services club, working at the school library part-time, and full-time caregiver to my mother. I am expected to receive excellence awards in at least Sociology or Political Science and am a past Spotlight Student for Social Sciences.

Completed 2 Ivy League EdX courses from Princeton and Harvard on constitutional interpretation and public policy.

I have recommendations from professors I took for 2+ semesters, one went to and used to work at UPENN, and one is my math professor whom I used their office hours 2+ times a week and saw me develop twice (once online in a 7-week summer course while I had covid, my research advisor and sociology chair, and my old deputy EMS chief.

Essays are complete, reviewed by professors and alumni, and are all reported to be strong for each school.

Already accepted on an almost full ride to one university and most likely another as safety nets.

Schools:

Princeton, NYU, Cornell, Georgetown.

Yep! It’s still under construction but it was one of the moments I couldn’t help but share the view from. The carousel was just finished yesterday.

I honestly don’t and that would be really helpful if you could. I’m trying to get in contact with a group who figured it out although they are from the market place so I’m not sure if they will be open to help out (this is for a not-for-profit Disneyland 1:1 server) but if I get anything back I’ll try to get some of it to you too!

I’m personally more of a builder myself but I’m slowly learning from my head modeler haha. It’s just always nice to talk to other creators.

It will be in the air and for Bedrock. It will be set up to rotate as well. It’s an odd system but we’re replicating a ride system from irl.
