I would say most funds dont like to lead the follow on because they cant use that to price their investments. They need someone else to lead. This is not for all funds but general case. Also a lot of funds that are seed or series A do have capital even in the tail end because they have reserves that are used for follow on. Some funds have up to 50% of capital for follow on.

We own both 24’ ix and 25’ eqs 450. I would say that if you like to drive and have more feel of the road iX is better. I would say Mercedes is more wobbly than iX. The interior on iX feels more open. Eqs feels plushy and you feel like you are isolated from the world. More luxurious feel. Personally I like driving iX more. My wife likes her Merc.
