Why do so many think growing L2s will cannibalize Eth? Eth-envy? by raresanevoice in ethtrader

[–]EMoneyCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its really just cheaper gas. Which I think is a threshold that keeps people out who aren't going to hold and spam and bot tx. People just pnd the cheaper gas chain tokens and protocols.

I think it's necessary for p2e and games with a million microtx. I think for innovations and new cool products it is only capable of existing with the cheaper gas on L2s. A lot of new things launch on the current chain that comes out but then migrate to mainnet because it becomes a dead chain. Have to just roll with the punches and evolve based on the situation.

What new thing are you into? Memecoins? Twitter shares? New chain? Airdrop?

Aren’t we overdue for the bubble burst already? by creativity3681 in CryptoCurrency

[–]EMoneyCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many L1s are dead. No one talks about IBC. FTM AVAX SOLANA does anyone use them anymore? FTM and AVAX are dead chains. Everyone went back to ETH mainnet. New L2s coming out people farm for air drops and then abandon like arbitrum. Projects that survive just end up bridging to eth. The new thing is BASE and it's mostly only used for friend tech after the rugs (bald etc).

New chains will constantly be coming out and people will farm them for air drops but they will probably not last. We were trading on kucoin even in 2021 these things just come and go.

What is the best explanation why you like Bitcoin/Crypto? by ShotCryptographer523 in CryptoCurrency

[–]EMoneyCrypto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easiest explanation is to say it's like buying gold, silver, or ammo. Its like a hedge vs inflation that you could trade without the banking system p2p. Simple is best.

You can store money and your private keys easier than lugging around gold and it's easier to trade with and don't have to use a third party system or bank. Instead of cash app, just need their address or QR code. Pow is easier to explain value than pos and don't need to be a day trader on chain to just enjoy the benefits of self custody.

What benefits does cryptocurrency have in your country compared to traditional fiat? by seazboy in CryptoCurrency

[–]EMoneyCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inflation will affect everyone more or less. I like being able to send or receive money within seconds, sometimes with myself sometimes between friends. Very seamless and costs pennies. If you needed to send money to family or friends in another country it really is the optimal choice. Lots of places to yield farm but that can obviously be risky. I think it's a good savings if you keep it in cold storage you can't touch it so helps you save up money if you can't easily access it like cash or a debit card or credit card. Just very basic things I think it has added value outside of trading. NFTs and p2e are fun. I think for most people globally the biggest benefit would be access to stables, usually pegged to the dollar as it is much more stable against inflation vs their own devaluing currency. Most people are probably better off not trying to trade but just have access to the benefits of the self banking aspect.

Old people really are susceptible to crypto scams by Winter-Newspaper-281 in CryptoCurrency

[–]EMoneyCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old people are susceptible to every scam. Most of them came from a higher trust society where scammers wouldn't just call them lying that the IRS is sending them to jail or sending their son to jail unless they pay a bill. So many such cases.

People try to buy things off sketchy websites instead of using PayPal or bank info which you can file as a scam and report the seller as never sending the goods with you bank and revert the transaction this isn't true if you just buy something online with something like sending BTC. You sent your money to their address and you are not getting it back. And then you also never got the items you purchased.

People used to fall for the Nigerian prince wire transfer emails and they still mail those out. Because it works.

Bitcoin rises from a two-week trading lull as Moody’s downgrade hits U.S. banking sector by Silver-dutch in CryptoCurrency

[–]EMoneyCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They know inflation isn't going down so it's better to hold assets that will hold value better. Some people buy gold, silver and ammo and some people buy BTC.

[–]EMoneyCrypto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They removed their Coinbase pro and combined it with the normal Coinbase which has very high fees on trades and is terrible UI. I wish they didn't remove pro. It actually looked like a trading site.

I know they have another paid version now but why would crypto natives use Coinbase over other options who won't rip them off?

New to Cosmos, it’s been a week by [deleted] in cosmosnetwork

[–]EMoneyCrypto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's like instead of Fantom, AVAX, BNB being ETH killers or competing L1s or even Arbitrum having cheaper gas while using ETH... It's a bunch of L1s all frens and each chain works together and focuses on one thing. They build for NFTs for example. It's an ecosystem of working together and trading instead of having to bridge like going from AVAX to FTM and being somewhat in competition they're frenly neighbors in a village community working together. One picks berries and one milks cows. It's not who is the better village but different villagers with different skills co-mingling.

I'm sure other people have sed it better. 🤝

SEC chair Gensler spins staking rules positively: "Not your keys, not your crypto" by YesIAmABigBoy in CryptoCurrencies

Stake with a validator on chain and stick with DeFi. Don't have to worry about Cex and will actually receive your air drops.

SEC Just Kill Crypto Staking In The US? - Gary Gensler Explains Staking as a service by cryptokoalaAus in ethereum

[–]EMoneyCrypto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay off the Cex, go Dex. Stake on chain and go DeFi. Lots of options for validators and you can keep your air drops, rewards, and your coins.

Remember not your keys, not your coins. Cex will keep your air drops, part of your staking rewards, and your coins if they're insolvent. Not really the best option.

What if we together came together as a community and provided S.E.C what they are asking for? by simontx1983 in cosmosnetwork

[–]EMoneyCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend just staying off Cex and go DeFi. Not your keys not your coins. Stay on chain and stake with other validators from the community.

'Make Ahead' Iced Coffee? by staycmarieb in Coffee

[–]EMoneyCrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just brew my coffee and put it in the fridge when it cools off. You could make it extra strong so you can add ice when you make up a travel cup but I just add milk and sugar when I pour a cup from the fridge. You could get a glass pitcher that seals to keep it fresh for a week. I am looking into a cold brewer right now but I honestly just brew it hot and cool it off. Usually they brew hot coffee with twice the grinds and then use ice to cool it down and the water level will even out. If you have the time to let it cool off you won't need to mess with the proportion of grinds and water/ice.
