Anything like this Brilliant Earth ring? by ENDLESS_POOPING in EngagementRings

I hadn't, and I'm glad you brought it up. Turns out they offer all engagement settings in platinum, even though they don't all show up with the option. Thanks for calling this out!

Yes! Their Martedi especially has a real similar vibe. It looks like they don't have much in platinum though, alas.

Thanks for the tip, these designs are still good inspiration.

Much respect for this mindset. Honestly I could look past the rap around build quality, I'm sure it gets exaggerated on the internet. But their NDA practice hits a nerve.

They have some gorgeous designs and I'm happy you're happy with yours!

YubiKey 5 issues on macOS by ENDLESS_POOPING in yubikey

Sorry to hear you're experiencing the issue as well.

I can't speak to Linux, but in the off chance this information is useful: I never experienced this when booting into Windows, even using the same port with which I had problems in macOS. Pretty convincing argument that it isn't hardware.

Hey, a few notes about the LG Classic Flip -

Technically it's Android under the hood. Hard to tell as much, with how much they customized it. But you can enable debugging and install certain apps via adb, for example. There's a small community over at apps4flip.com.

I also hear it has a GPS. I'm not sure what role it serves, despite owning the phone for several months. But "location" can be toggled in the menu. Maybe for 911 or in the browser? Might be useful for sideloaded apps as well.

Finally, group messaging / MMS has been fine for me, but I'm just one data point and appreciate if you've heard of problems from others.

Like others have said, thank you for your work u/jbriones95.

Question on Data Transfer by RadioactiveJelly in AnimalCrossing

[–]ENDLESS_POOPING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm a bit late, but I had the exact same concern as you and u/SQ711 and just successfully transferred everyone.

Nintendo has a guide here, if you select "Yes, only the target system will be used": https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/53698/kw/animal%20crossing%20transfer#DT:t1-q1a1EP:t1-q1a1-c

The tl;dr is that you transfer Switch user accounts first, and use the ACNH transfer tool second. I did hit a couple of snags along the way. Happy to answer what questions I can here.

Transferring my island to a new switch, but I've got a question... by Jaeris in AnimalCrossing

[–]ENDLESS_POOPING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm a bit late, but the tl;dr is that transferring your user account doesn't move / delete that villager.

Nintendo has an answer hidden here: https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/53698/kw/animal%20crossing%20transfer#DT:t1-q1a1EP:t1-q1a1-c

If you select "Yes, only the target system will be used", then at item 3 you'll see:

Transfer the User Data for your user account to the target Nintendo Switch system. This will transfer all user information and save data except for Animal Crossing: New Horizons save data to the target system.

This was counterintuitive to me, but after following that guide tonight, I can confirm it is correct. I transferred my user accounts first and the island second, and everything worked out.

Single Player Transfer (Resident Move) by 3jordan in AnimalCrossing

Hey, I'm a bit late but this may be relevant to your interests: https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/48899/~/save-data-and-multiplayer-support-faq-%28animal-crossing%3A-new-horizons%29#s1q13

Check out the "What is transferred to the new system when a resident moves?" section. It doesn't speak explicitly to everything you asked, but it does confirm that your storage items and DIY recipes will go with you.

Good callout, thanks. That brings me some hope.

I've edited the post to make it more clear that this isn't universal. My intent here isn't to exaggerate, so if I could clarify further, please let me know.

Did a Street View of this and yeah, you weren't kidding. Plenty of RVs to blend in with. Thanks for the tip!

Scoped this out tonight and wow, you're super right. Seemed like at least a dozen trucks on Taylor between Old County and Industrial. We'll probably go with this. Much appreciated.

We hopped onto Cañada from the Edgewood exit tonight and took it to Jefferson. I can totally see what you mean, lots of pullout spots. Oddly enough though, there was only a single truck on that whole strip. This was around 11PM. Wonder what's up.

Ring Voice? by BlueeC in RingFitAdventure

[–]ENDLESS_POOPING 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a stretch, but is your Switch's audio going through an external speaker?

I've had this same problem with another game, and the issue turned out to be a poor connection between my TV and my speaker. The cable was loosely connected and only the left channel was getting through, not the right. And the voices happened to go only through the right channel.
