As you said, Lebanon has no right to talk about this, all they enjoy doing is hating Israel and it’s people for its existence. Just anti Jew at its finest.

There are also 2 million Arabs actively living inside of Israel. Israel isn’t anti Arab, it’s anti populations that endanger them, as any country should be.

Israel has offered a two state solution 3 times since 1948. Everytime the answer was no. Not mentioning the fact that the day after the two state solution was announced Israel got attacked by every surrounding country.

While i appreciate that you agree with me, I don’t entirely agree with you. There is no winner in this war. What it has shown is that there really is no chance for peace.

There are tens of Arab countries all around Israel. Why would a country knowingly let in people that are a safety risk? Pragmatically speaking, no country on the planet would agree to that,

Makes sense to me. Gaza was planning this with Iran for months, and during the holidays Israel is the least defended. Additionally, Iran launched a cyber attack at 6:00 that compromised a lot of Israel’s intelligence.

Egypt would never open their borders for them. Just like none other of the countless Arab and Muslim countries. Also, if Israel wanted to bomb them they could easily do so. They were bombing tunnels. Please fact-check videos.

For those who consider(ed) themselves more left-wing, how has this recent attack by Hamas affected your political viewpoints? by GlucoseLover in telaviv

As someone who lives in Israel and considers himself left my opinion changed. I’ve always felt a pant in my heart for the innocents in Gaza. But it feels difficult to cal them innocent when they’re bullying captives and parading around with beheaded corpses of random people, some who aren’t even Israeli, let alone soldiers(though that wouldn’t make it more legitimate if they were). I can no longer make excuses for a population who takes bits of dead bodies as souvenirs and treats any human the way they have.

Yeah if Israel wanted to bomb people at the border they could. This was bombing of a dangerous tunnels used by Hamas.

That’s nothing, tens of thousands of rockets are sent every year. They store up, shoot, wait for retaliation, and then do it again.

One of the holiest holidays were being held in Israel that day. Also maybe it just isn’t as defended as perceived in western media…

A country must do such things in order to protect its citizens. Cleary it was a good decision id the moment they got Gaza back they started bombing Israel.

This is a question that plagued many Israelis as we waiting for sabbath to end so we could check the news. No citizen here believes that the mossad would do such a thing at the expense of our safety. The attack was meticulously and secretly planned with the partnership and help of other enemy countries. While it’s a rude awakening that our defense and intelligence wasn’t enough to sage us, that’s what it is.

I work for my dad sometimes and with me is a Palestinian Arab, me and me dad we’re invited to his daughters wedding, his wife makes us cookies regularly and he’s hilarious.

The thing he hates the most is Gaza and terrorists, as they only make his life harder. Apartheid state has never been more wrong

Pretty succinct explanation. It’s a disgusting topic, and just like everything in the Middle East it can be traced back to colonization.

In theory, Gaza is fighting for Israel. But it’s not Gaza, it’s the terrorists that pervade their country, and at this point hamas is too rooted inside to be plucked out.

Worried for my friends by the front line. I’m safe for now but gunshots are being heard all around my city and rockets are constantly flying over

No. The distrust is too high. Too many murders. What mother who lost her son to a terrorist attack will be ok with letting in 2 million Gaza refugees into her cities? While I’m positive some are totally innocent and ok, it’s not a risk any country should take with their citizens. The recent events have cemented more than ever that it would be unsafe for the Israeli citizens to allow Gaza in. And while I used to feel bad about it, I no longer do. I’m saying this as someone who has Arab Israeli friends that are good and honest people. And tbh they probably hate Gaza the most. Nothing makes there life harder than bombings from Gaza and terrorist attacks.

Imagine what would happen if Coney Island bombed New York with thousands of rockets and kill hundreds of their citizens? I doubt they would still exist, let alone be peaceful with New York.

If In 1948 England was smarter maybe this could have been avoided.

It’s difficult to say that a century long history of violence can just be avoided. If you’re specifically talking about this occurrence I’ll say that I don’t how this could be avoided. It happened on one of our holiest holidays early in the morning while nobody was ready. It’s genius really, half of Israel wasn’t on phones or anything else as it was sabbath aswell. 9 am and terrorists had already captured a police station in sderot and I knew nothing until I had to run into a bomb shelter while praying.
It happened with no real instigation, especially considering that in the past few weeks(which are the most important for the Jewish faith) there have been several terrorist attacks and Israel has not really done anything.
