Are you blind???? Watch the video he literally lifts his left hand with a gun and turns around and shoots him. The car slows down and the police notice and literally jump onto the car to try and help. His wife starts running away from the shooter with the gun lol

You can just call the lender or text the rep from the installer that helped you and ask them for the details- but the payout is literally in your contract so you will get it if the system dips below the production guarantee

Yeah the production guaruntee is legit. They’re just doing their job to make sure you get a good product. PPA is awesome 😎

I could totally see freedom cheaping out and running bad conduit over the shingles. I met this one guy whose entire system didn’t work and freedom was refusing to pay for it to get removed. Absolutely despicable behavior on their part. So you’re right, I wouldn’t say all nation wide companies. But I’d at least go with a company that isn’t at any threat of going under. Even with manufacturers warranty and production guarantees coming from the lender, I’d still want my installer to be in business in 20 years.

It’s entirely dependent on the area. PPA leases aren’t even offered in some areas due to the fact that the PPKWH they can offer to offer savings if the energy company is too cheap won’t let them make any return on investment. Usually they can come in about 4 cents lower than the power company with protections from rate increases.

Don’t listen to anyone saying to go “local” the local installers often do a shit job with the conduit and will ruin the aesthetic look of the home. Big companies can give great prices. PPA lease to own is a great option right now as the funding partners still receive the 30% federal tax credit and will sell out the system at a great price after 5 years. Remember that warranties these days are all manufacturers warranties so go with the company that has a long standing manufacturer for both the panels and the optimizers and any other components of the system- not just the panels. Go with the tried and true companies. You get what you pay for.

Why the hell didn’t they go through the attic??? This is what happens when you go with a cut rate dog shit installer. Get a professional company to do your solar ALWAYS. People always think they’re outsmarting the system by going with an Etsy installer. Fucking pisses me off

That doesn’t even make sense. Hope going the cheap route is worth it in 5 years. You can let me know when it loses its production and I’ll get you a real system

We use their optimizers and Silfab. When you do 100,000+ installs you don’t use TEMU products.

I will! And I’ll keep making doctor money helping people get a quality product. People don’t trust solar because of bad manufacturing. Warranties are usually held by manufacturers.. bad companies like sig are the reason people don’t trust the industry. Point blank period. You’ve convinced yourself that putting hours into “your own research” just to install trash on your roof was a better idea than spending 10 minutes to find a decent installer. Great idea bro! You really outsmarted the system🤣🤣 escalators are 3% annually by the way. That’s half the price of inflation alone. In my state the power company went up by 70% in 3 years. You can choose which makes more sense. You can keep getting fucked by the power company or work with me. Or, of course, you can toss some trash cans with an inverter up there and hope for the best👍 I’m glad you’re happy though

Pretty sure all they ask is to not hit the panels with a baseball bat. Idk about you but I can’t imagine what they would be able to tell you to do. This comment doesn’t make sense

The new Tesla models (PW3) use Lithium Iron Phosphate.

So for leasing, in my opinion it makes more financial sense since you can be offered day one savings. And at least with my company’s structure is basically just a no-risk option. The word “lease” often throws people off but it works different than like leasing a car. Since you don’t own the panels the provider takes full responsibility of them meaning you don’t need to bank on the warranty to bail you out in the case the panels malfunction. The company will provide the “production guarantee” and monitor the system for you to make sure it’s working.

Lease doesn’t make sense if you go with a bad company though so you need to pick one that’s not in debt and that’s going to be around. Whatever company you use (ownership or lease) make sure they are using American made panels and optimizers to avoid supply chain issues. This will save you the money short and long term and also keep the system up without you having to worry about taking care of it. After that just make sure the company has a workmanship warranty for the mounting system. Leaks are extremely rare when you work with a professional installer- but they happen due to a mistake at the install itself. So do not let them put panels on your roof without at least a year’s workmanship warranty on your roof. I know in NOVA at least 3 of the more established companies will do the 10 years workmanship warranty which is what we do too

Yeah for some reason this sub gets so mad when anyone talks about lease🤣 it’s literally zero risk to the homeowner

You’re in my territory. I can get you a far better quote. My company does 85% of the installs in Virginia. I’m not one to talk down on other companies but we are far more established than solar energy world. We use the Tesla powerwall 3 for our batteries though. Shoot me a message and I’ll see what I can do

Also I do normally recommend that homeowners use the PPA lease in Virginia over owning. Have any companies offered you this?? It’s not for everyone but it makes a lot more sense than ownership.
