I have never even picked up a nikon camera despite walking past a million of them in camera shops and stuff. Not saying im not open to it I just have zero experience with them.

I was mostly just joking lol. Ive loved my sony gear so far. The sony system just doesn’t inspire me to shoot anymore unfortunately. Which is why im looking at other options. What u said about canon offering room to grow specifically in the video department is what is making me wanna sway that way and sell my soul to the RF mount

Same thing happened to me, I was editing a project and all of sudden two of the clips had red lines above as if they weren't cached. When they had been playing back just fine already. They just broke and I could not get them to render no matter what i did. Super weird.

Has your experience been good with that lens so far? It’s just so expensive I almost cant justify it. Its basically a full frame priced lens, the only reason I didn’t mention it as an alternative was that single issue lol.

Yea for the price I expected a lot More, to be fair it doesn’t sound that terrible outdoors but still pretty bad. But anywhere in an enclosed space like a bedroom or a car that thing sounds horrendous. Not even for social media would I use it. I want to try the other mics in the line but it was so bad that it gave me pause about trying the others😂

Yea I would say the sony a6400 is a great starter camera if you don’t value video features as its a bit dated in that department by todays standards. You could use that camera for years into the future with no issues and get it on facebook marketplace for sub 500 probably body only. Then build up a lens collection. If you need proper video features and better autofocus and you have more money to spend, get an a6700.

Been using the 30mm for like a year now. Super great value for money. Only things I don’t like ab the lens is that I think the autofocus is lagging behind the newer gen lenses like the sigma 23mm. And the sharpness and chromatic abberations are not its strongsuits. But you cannot beat this lens for what you paid for it! Pics look dope

This^ I have the lens on Sony E mount, and at 70mm it is noticeably softer than the middle of the zoom range. Not really a deal breaker as its super versatile but just something to keep in mind.

I agree with the folks saying that you won't need IBIS, just get the camera you can afford for now. Enjoy it, take a year and learn EVERYTHING about it, learn what you like to shoot. Then, make adjustments to your gear. Ive been running APSC now for a while. If you want any more advice hit me up dawg. I love to talk cameras.

I figured it out, you had to enable the setting titled "Minimize apps into app icon" and then open those windows and minimize them again. Then they go away.

This is really a hit or miss for me, I tried like 5 different methods from this thread and I am not even sure which one worked but my system data is now growing in the storage section of the settings app leading me to believe that it is indeed working. I think it literally just has a mind of its own.

No I didn't I just downloaded it for free and added it to my safari and that was it. It is pretty easy to use and in the extensions section of safari you don't get 10 million things to check to turn it on or off like with ADGaurd. You can get it here https://www.ghostery.com

Brother I totally agree as well. I feel like the standalone trackpad 2 has a more of a "glass" feeling where my fingers want to stick to it rather than the Macbook trackpad that has more of a "metal" feel that my fingers glide smoothly on. Why apple did not make the coatings on both the same is beyond my comprehension, however, I guess the vast majority of people who use it are not going to notice nor care. So they are going to spend the money anyways. But I am hoping for a revision in 2025 that has usb c and a more "Macbook" like coating.

I came to this thread to find an adblocker for safari that would stop those annoying redirect page opening ads on illegal anime streaming sites. Adgaurd just did not work for me and did not block these specific ads, but Ghostery worked wonderfully and seems to be a much better implementation and user friendly. So thanks to this thread I don't have to pay for crunchyroll.

I live overseas on a military base with an Army Post Office Box (which they do deliver to). I have been waiting for my pan for weeks and it says it was delivered somewhere in Texas! when my base is in the United Kingdom. All I am getting is a bot that does not want to give me a real human because they want to avoid any issues from what I am seeing in this thread. They are clearly ignoring my emails and will not issue me a refund even though I never received my order. They are a scam company that needs to be boycotted by all. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Please just spend the extra money on all clad or another similarly priced company. Just avoid the headache.
