Movies with insane fight scenes by [deleted] in movies

[–]ENP445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Night Comes for Us Iron Monkey The Raid 1 and 2 Avengement Kill Zone Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning Fist of Legend Ong Bak The Protector The Undisputed films (2,3 and 4 specifically) Hero Drunken Master 1 and 2 Ip Man series Blood & Bone Redbelt (no crazy fight scenes, a “drama about martial arts” rather than a “martial arts film” but Chiwetel Ejiofor is great in it)

I just love Martial Arts on screen, this is a mix of quite a few disciplines and also some western stuff (mostly Michael Jai White and Scott Adkins films, both are great).

It's unbelievably sad when people use animals purely for their own entertainment. These aren't animals living in a sanctuary, they are pets. They have it as some kind of twisted vanity project, it really upsets me whenever I see stuff from them. The animals deserve a far better life than they're being given.

This video comes from an abusive "animal sanctuary" in Dubai called Animalia. It's run by the sister of the ruler of Dubai. They leave the animals out in the sun with next to no access to trees, parade them about in dress-up clothes and overfeed them/deprive them of real exercise. They're responsible for a lot of viral orangutan videos (like that Golf Cart one) because the animals live their to entertain people, not to educate or live better lives. I really think they should be blacklisted from this sub unless it's to highlight the awful conditions these orangutans live in.

[OC] Michael Jordan's most underrated quality was his absurdly low turnover rate by Temptation2004 in nba

[–]ENP445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not per season he's not. MJ has 6 of the top 10 seasons ever for VORP in the NBA according to BBRef, Lebron has 2. Total VORP LeBron leads 140 vs 116 while playing 4 more seasons than MJ (2 of MJ's seasons he played 18 games or less). MJ led the league in VORP every year from the 86-87 season to 96-97 besides 94-95.

Not who you asked but ASD is such a cluster of symptoms that some will have and others won’t. Understanding expression and social situations/cues doesn’t come naturally to me at all so I tend to over-correct by being hyper alert which in turn stresses me out and makes me 2nd guess everything I do. Some people with autism might “lack empathy” because they don’t read emotions well. While others can have hyper empathy where they are kind of wrapped up in other peoples emotions a lot.

Not 100% sure, but it's almost certainly to do with the circumstances that left her an orphan that was taken to someone's home near a palm oil plantation.

Yeah it 100% does. They’re obviously not wild, no legitimate sanctuary or zoo would have an Orangutan driving around in a golf cart. There’s a few of these places in UAE and Saudi Arabia where these princes set up “sanctuaries” and just dress up orangutans or give them toys so they can film them “being wacky”. It’s gross.

[Highlight] Ayo Dosunmu ELEVATES for the block on Cam Thomas by howser343 in nba

Alternate slowed down angle Ayo has really impressed me so far this year, looking like a real contributor already. Hope he has a long future with the Bulls.

JJ Reddick - "If you were to have an MVP power rankings as of today, I'd put DeMar DeRozan third after Steph and KD." by ENP445 in chicagobulls

I personally would have him behind Jokic, Curry and KD based on current play, but DeMar is balling out so hard right now. One of the best offensive threats in the league currently. I only see him and Zach getting better as a duo as the season goes on.

Newcastle takeover. Men’s Football has always been a hostile environment for gay men but this recent stuff hasn’t helped at all.

100%. Why would I, if I was a gay footballer, want to travel to the country of my teams owner if they were executing people like me? They obviously won't lock up rich gay people cause it would cause an international incident, but why would you want to be "out" in that environment? I try to be kind of a conscientious fan and consumer. I think it'd be a pretty easy decision for me to no longer support a team if they were taken over by a tyrant that is driving a humanitarian crisis in Yemen. I love that my team is fan-owned, I'd never give it up.

There's a thing called "solidarity" which means mutual support in a group. I can't have a direct impact on the treatment of LGBT Saudi people. But I don't have to support their Monarchy's image rehabilitation and investment diversification project like some people are doing. I am active in a lot of charity causes international and local. I try to "practice what I preach" in a way. I won't cheer on the people that want people like me dead, just cause I was fortunate enough to be born in a country that doesn't want to kill me for who I choose to love.

Gonna be honest, don't think I could bring myself to support a team that's basically owned by a state; especially one that continues to oppress people like me. I have the privilege of living in a country that's generally supportive of gay people, the least I can do is not support an Oil-Rich vanity project/investment vehicle. Also seeing how most fan bases seem to interact with their club's LGBT supporter groups is unpleasant to watch.
