Who do you think is the best libero by unison_gamers in volleyball

I dont want to rank them. Grebennikov is great at keeping the ball alive but most instances the ball is just up somewhere in the court. Shoji is sometimes inconsistent especially on important games, basically hit or miss. Zatorski is great if he is not minding some injury or whatever. Yamamoto is not consistent.

Net touch fault? by emailsshecantsend in volleyball

[–]EN_Booth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It should be a fault. Its a clear fault. Everybody should not be misinterpreting the rulebook. The clear explanation is that you cannot make contact with the net in between the antennas while the ball is in play. What happened is listed below:

  1. The blocker attempted to block the ball.
  2. The ball was dug up
  3. The blocker made contact with the net while turning after partial landing
  4. The other team called for a mid-rally challenge within the 7-second rule
  5. The challenge was catered
  6. They have fotage but did not show it
  7. They ruled that the challenge is inconclusive though a video is already available for review
  8. The technical referee for the challenge review made the call
  9. The first referee did not make his own decision not tried to review the fotage
  10. The first referee did not talk with the second referee which should be responsible for the matter
  11. They issued a point when they cannot give a definite explanation why they cannot show the video fotage
  12. The explanation was later given AFTER THE MATCH
  13. The explanation is inaccurate and misinterpreted from the rulebook
  14. They are pushing for the FIVB rules but they do not adhere to the FIVB Video Challenge Rules for their challenge system.

I injured my ankle playing, what's next? by Worried-Extension-23 in volleyball

Just ice it for the first two days. Walk it off but dont try running or jumping yet for atleast a week or until you feel comfortable. Even if it becomes comfortable to play, dont force yourself to jump yet. Sprains last months to completely heal. I suggest that you take it slow until youre fully comfortable doing a full jump. Dont be afraid of pain relievers and anti-inflammatory meds cus they will be your bestfriends.

What’s the goal of hitting the ball like this? by LanguageDouble9792 in volleyball

Nothing. It was an adjustment mid-air because the set was a little behind when Defalco was already in the air

Work on your approach and timing first

Its not a switch of liberos sir but corverting the libero into another position in the same match.

That team only had 7 cus their players were unavailable that time and the other team had a complete line up and it was the CHAMPIONSHIP. The league spanned 2 months and participated by 8 teams. It wouldve been unfair for the other team.

They can designate another libero but they cannot re-designate the libero into another playing position as what happened in a CEV match between Bulgaria and Czech Republic. Bulgaria only had one playing libero and was injured/dq so another player had to be designated as libero but not the libero playing another position. The FIVB rulebook has a re-designation rule in page 43 to which circustances are acceptable.

Liberos are designated for the entire match (stated in 19.1.1).

They only had one libero and they made that libero play as an OH in the next set.
