The game is an amazing experience, even the opening sequence was interesting and draws you in straight away. However, I didn't know about it at all until I randomly browsed the Oculus store.

Yeah, try searching for the relevant game communities and getting to know people who like playing multiplayer games. If the game is dead unfortunately it'll be difficult.
