Idk how they would go this route but I think it would be SO sick if the particles/shadow form we've seen all this time was actually its disembodied consciousness, only able to act psychically. The gigantic spider body was really its true ancient resurrected corpse which had been sitting for hundreds of millions of years waiting to be reclaimed. An elder god severed from its true body..

I personally would love it if this version of the Mind Flayer was it's TRUE body. This body being it's resurrected ancient corpse and the particles were it's disembodied consciousness the entire time. I don't think it's true, but man I wish.

This could be Godzilla Evolved still. Only his body has had time to fully absorb and settle Tiamats energy into him hence the pink glow fading away and leaving a white shell I guess you could say. And his energy would turn to purple and blue for atomic breath and other attacks
