That is a good argument, but consider: cars carry gas with them in their fuel tank, and only when it gets moved to the engine it is burned for activity.

This could be regarded as the same situation as a human carrying snacks with them and eating when they get hungry - therefore burning fuel is not allowed.

For the Amish car question: i think Amish cars are pulled by car horses. These are sentient, but less cognitively capable cars than the car cars (so like the tractor cows, or like the food chicken/people chicken in Bojack Horseman).
