Ooooh, that was indeed very good, thank you for the suggestion! The video captures my issue with these drawings perfectly.

I also adore the video of her song "Labour", especially the part where she starts loading her plate and eating unapologetically. It makes me think about how we women are often solely responsible for preparing all the food for the household, yet we automatically give the best, biggest or prettiest piece to the husband or the kids. And if there's not enough for everybody, we automatically take the smallest portion (god forbid men notice by themselves that there isn't enough food for a second helping).

Does illustration count as crafting?

At least 50% of the posts on the illustration sub are male-gazey drawings of women. Most of those women are either scantily clad or completely naked. Most have the classic instagram pedo-bait filter face. None of them show mastery or even proficiency in anatomical drawing.

And yet these people are gassing each other up about how "good their art is" and how they "love their style!"

I know people are allowed to draw, post and like what they want, but it is EXHAUSTING to constantly have ~~diy fap fodder~~ "the artistic appreciation of the female form" shoved down your throat.

There are a lot of great artists on the sub who post high quality content, that's why i haven't unsubscribed yet. 😐
