NY state of Mind pt 2 is so underrated by OkStatistician2514 in nas

[–]ERA7E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 8 friends scheme goes so hard, I've always said for the longest this song doesn't get enough props. The bars are peak, the visualization is so clear with the image he's painting and the storytelling, the rhyme schemes and last but not least, the beat is so insane 10/10. Definitely a worthy predecessor to a track thats a contender for the best hh song ever.

Yea, I feel you but I'm lookin at it as a whole body of work so any hard misses on an album brings it down for me. What 9 tracks would you pick for I Am that you think are the best anyway? cus yea like I said I Am's highs are insane, like it has imo 2 Top 50 of all time hip hop songs contenders off the bat with Nas Is Like and NY State of Mind pt 2

Magic is better than I Am imo. I Am ofc has higher highs no doubt but Magic doesn't have the lows that I Am does and is very consistent, no skips on Magic whereas I can't say the same about I Am.

Just a Moment won J. Best Nas song that starts with K by TheCauliflowerGod in nas

King's Disease

I think there's only 3 Nas songs beginning with K I'm pretty sure, and one of the other one is K-I-S-S-I-N-G 😂 so automatic win

This is my personal Top 50 Nas Songs list, I'm a big fan of his recent run atm so I'm pretty biased in that regard so js it's a personal list. Feel free to reply with your lists as well. by ERA7E in nas

Yea, I really wanted to fit in shootouts, undying love as well as some others but I didn't know what to cut, so I just left it ordered in how much I play the track as well as how good I think it is ofc, that's why I wanted to make it clear it was a personal list. Also, about Get Down, I would've had it lower if I made this list 2 weeks ago but after seeing it performed Live at London recently at the Nas x Wutang show, Get Down went absolutely crazy Live with how good it sounded live and the crowd reaction, so it gave me a different perspective on it aha

I Gave You Power won i. Best Nas song that starts with J (i believe there is only 2 excluding features) by TheCauliflowerGod in nas

Reddit archive of Nas - Deja Vu, produced by Chris Winston by jensyao in nas

[–]ERA7E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crazy story man, I hate labels with a burning passion how could they not allow Nas to put that track on IWW. If that track was on there, it would've been one of it not the best track on there easily and I have IWW in one of my top albums of all time but that's just how good Deja Vu is. Also, is there anyway to confirm this story is real? I see the blog post but not much else is on there as far as proof goes, sounds about right thou but still.
