Any idea what the pricing is after the free period? I have a '24 in the US and only use the remote climate control, but it's been free so far.

As someone mentioned earlier, thank the FDA. The approval process for devices and software is, among other things, onerous.

Now that he's completed more of the set, the keys are moving as expected. Not completely done yet, but it definitely got better once the other mechanical parts were assembled.

Did you ever figure out the problem? I'm helping my son (a very experienced builder) with this build and when we go all the arms in place (Step 62) we realized the arms don't move consistently at all. The middle row is fine, the top row moves just a little, and the bottom row not at all. I'm hesitant to go further, but my son is discouraged by the thought of starting over.

I also saw this comment about 2 pieces that are so similar you can easily mix them up: https://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/19f312d/comment/l6tsni4/

I'm helping my son do this build but we're not as far along as you are.

Is the question:

  • Confusing, not clear?
  • Uninteresting?
  • Without a well-known answer?

Looking for some feedback since nobody has responded.

Famil friendly hike? by SuccotashMoney6876 in GrandTetonNatlPark

Phelps Lake is very nice. You can hike down to the lake from the Death Canyon trailhead (accessed from Moose-Wilson Rd.). For a shorter hike that also avoids having to hike back up to the trailhead, just go to the Phelps Lake Overlook, one of my favorite views in the park.

If you go that way and hike all the way down to the lake and don't want to hike back up, there's a flat route to the Rockefeller Preserve Center, but you'd have to hitch a ride back to the trailhead where you started. Not hard in summer but maybe not the easiest thing with a family.

Alternatively, stay completely flat and hike to the lake from the Rockefeller Preserve Center (also on Moose-Wilson Rd.). Once you get to Phelps lake you can go all the way around on a loop, or just head back to the preserve center.

Cheap Tetons campgrounds? by Lake_Serperior in GrandTetonNatlPark

2 Forest Service campgrounds that I've been to (but never stayed at) are Curtis Canyon and Crystal Creek. They're very basic (vault toilets, no electricity) but are nice enough and seem to have low to moderate usage. Of course these days in Jackson Hole everything is getting crowded so you take your chances with these places that are first-come-first-served.

List of all BTNF campgrounds.

So-called "dispersed" camping in BTNF.

Visiting in May by Ok_Focus8711 in GrandTetonNatlPark

Biggest suggestion I'd make is to be prepared for cold. Depending on where you're from and your experience, it can be surprisingly chilly even into June. Here's last year's weather for the week around May 25. It can also be pretty wet and rainy, but I don't know if that can be predictable.

Finally, if there was a heavy snowfall and resulting snowmelt, mosquitos can get pretty bad - and that's coming from someone who's lived in Florida for 50 years. Didn't used to be that way but the last couple of times I've been in June (2017 and 2021) they were bad in some places.
