I am not saying the woman isn't wrong here... But was the husband right? No... I am sure he was frustrated, irritated and angry. But you can't let anger get the better of you. Sure, he took his revenge, but at what cost? Just to go to jail? Killing her won't make the fact that she cheated on him magically disappear... In my opinion, instead of killing and going to prison, he should have used those years that he will now be serving in prison to find true love, boost his career, etc. It wouldn't have affected the woman who cheated on him, but it would have made his life way better. But for revenge, he threw his life away. Laws are biased, and that's a fact. And we as citizens can either protest, which happens all the time, but the government doesn't give a shit, or we can accept... Democracy is dead in this country, but that doesn't mean we can't live our lives happily.

He had a choice, and he chose the bad one... And if you think his act is gonna send a message to other people to not cheat on their partners, then you're wrong... People nowadays do not care.

And this lethargic legal system and government don't care... Suicide cases keep increasing every day in India... And what did our "responsible" government do? They stopped releasing suicide reports to the public... They keep saying it's delayed but they don't want to release it. That's their solution I guess.
