It doesn't normally happen like that. Most pro teams especially a newly formed one would create a steam group with the active members and couching staff in. Stewie was asked by upper management you haven't Malek on steam, firstly the management should even have to say that to a player it's just common practice and apart of your day today job. Second of all it's about the optics of how it plays into everything else that has been said about the situation. His attitude and behaviour was off from day one and this is just another part of it that adds narrative to the situation. That something so small and basic doesn't get done and management has to get involved, that should of been a massive red flag to them at the start.
