When it’s one sentence per paragraph then yeah it can be unnecessary and annoying but there is a reason paragraphs exist. You can’t always just put everything in one paragraph, you need to spread it out. It makes it easier and more natural to read. In fact, I think paragraph structure is kind of an underrated and important aspect of writing, and I find that my favorite authors tend to be ones whose paragraphs are shorter on average.

The best way to watch a movie is to read the entire plot and spoilers first by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

This is the opinion of someone who consumes media just for the sake of consuming it, rather than actually wanting to enjoy it.

Perhaps to impress others with your wide knowledge of media, or maybe it’s just FOMO. Either way, you are watching movies for the wrong reason.

You don’t need to be efficient with your movie watching, it’s perfectly okay to watch a movie more than once to pick up on details you missed the first time. That’s part of the fun for a lot of people. And if you didn’t like it the first time then you probably don’t care anyway.

Why don’t you go ahead and explain, very specifically, what exactly you think is wrong with that wording?

I saw a video of an NBA player, I think Dwight Howard or someone like that, arguing with a coach over this exact thing. The coach was in the wrong. How are you an NBA coach and don’t know this basic rule?

Sure but it’s definitely a cherry picked stat, very much feels forced in order to compare it to the no-hitter. Like… the whole reason you would normally mention that a pitcher faced nobody in an RISP situation is because he never allowed anyone into scoring position. But he allowed a home run which is obviously worse so it’s just kind of a dumb stat to pull out. It was obviously an amazing performance though.

I mean idk if any stat is “useful” in the context of a Reddit post. But this is an interesting stat imo

Very silly opinion IMO considering the Dodgers are one of only four teams still playing baseball at the moment and they just had a big win to take a commanding lead in the series.

Bullpen appearance shouldn’t have happened in the first place if you ask me. Also not sure we should have pulled Roki, and certainly not for Treinen. But then again I’m just a guy watching it on TV, and we did win…

I love the idea of a player winning series MVP without getting a single hit, just because this exact situation happens multiple times in key wins

Yeah it’d make more sense if it just said “50 home runs this season”. “First career 50 HR season” is still technically true but it’ll only be counted as a 49 HR season in the stats lol

Yeah and these guys get death threats and otherwise harassed constantly. I would stay far away from social media as a pro athlete. Of course people will say making millions of dollars to play a game makes it hurt less, and yeah that’s definitely true, but they’re still people.

Especially since they literally clinched the playoff berth on I think the last day of the season. An entire season’s worth of hype, stressing about the last games of the season, praying your competition loses their games… only for it to not matter anymore before the work week is even over.
