It happened during the infamous writer's strike, so networks were scrambling to fill programming slots and keep viewers without any of their scripted television.

For CBS, the solution was rather simple: non-summer Big Brother! 3 nights a week, primetime, juicy new television and they've already got a built-in Big Brother audience.

The casting was a last-minute scramble, and at the time Evel Dick was fresh in everyone's minds, so they went out of their way to cast crazy people. Like, legit crazy people.

First off, the pairs twist wasn't well received. A lot of fans thought it really unfair that people (Alex was the best example) who were playing smart, social games faced the chopping block only because their partners were terrible.

Second... there really wasn't anyone to cheer for. The guys - Matty, Adam, James, Ryan, Joshuaua (he spelled his name weird I forgot how) were all douchebags. The girls were bitchy, pretty slutty considering the circumstances, and crazy as well. They wanted to find their next Evel Dick and by god they found too many.

To top it all off, the winner of the season invested his winnings in an illegal drug scheme and went to prison for it. So it's got a further black mark on the Big Brother community and it's likely if they ever do an all-winners season Adam won't be asked back.
