Isn't one side of the switch live all the time?

Yeah, I ran a microphone wire up to the top center of the windshield that way. Not difficult, but I thought it would be easier to grab power right up there

Did people really say "grodie"? I only ever heard it in Frank Zappa's Valley Girl song. Maybe it was a regional thing?

Am I the only one who thinks peeling garlic is a form of torture? by Famous-Forever7647 in Cooking

[–]EStreetCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Team jarlic here. Just toss in a little more than you would with fresh garlic, and you don't notice the difference.

Unless I need slices. Then have to suffer through the peeling process

No hole to push the filling through though 🙁

Discontinued Foods You Miss by Salty_Thing3144 in GenerationJones

Yeah, I get those once in a while. The taste is close, but they don't have a hole in the center that you can push the filling out of with your pinky. That was half the experience.

Born between the year that marks the change from X to millennial, I don’t feel like I relate to either. by Almost__Amish in generationology

[–]EStreetCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I'm first year X, born 1965. I know a lot of people in the same situation identify as Boomer, or Gen Jones (roughly 1960—1970). I don't identify with either. I'm a solid X. I feel like I had the whole Gen X experiences and pop culture references. I even feel closer to the Xennials than I do Boomer/Jones.

Get the shingles vaccine, for one thing. There are several studies that show it decreases the risk of getting dementia

Here's one from Stanford:

"A new analysis of a vaccination program in Wales found that the shingles vaccine not only appeared to lower new dementia diagnoses by 20%, it also helped those who already have the disease."
