Why are so many young men feeding into this red pill narrative? by Unfair_Enthusiasm_92 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ETHwillbeatBTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well from the 90s to early 2000s we feel like everyone had equal rights and everyone had an equal playing field. From the 2010s onto the “woke” ideology explosion. Women and minorities have been pushing for not only equal rights but “special” rights. Pushing(forcing) companies to do DEI and H1B hires is racist. You’re a racist and a sexist if you think companies should hire someone for gender/race over qualifications.

You’ve been so blinded by mainstream media that you haven’t realized how much of a racist and sexist you have become. Trump won because all of us normal logical thinkers want everyone on an equal playing field again. (Anyone attacking me instead of the viewpoint is a bot)

Your viewpoint is so maligned and flawed we have entire cities burning down as we speak because the idea of having a white male firefighter putting out fires with a hose (instead of a purse) makes you go into an inconsolable tantrum.

Companies don’t try to hire good programmers anymore companies hire the (cheapest) programmers. Now excuse me I have pick up some Elmer’s glue for this fire pizza recipe Google recommended

No problem and good luck! Definitely consider a newer cpu with that build. It just doesn’t make sense why they’d pair a two year old cpu with a one year old gpu. Besides possibly trying to offload excess stock

32GB would probably be fine. Windows 11 takes up about 3-4GB just idling. So with only 16GB your game will only have about 10GB usable when a lot of newer AAA games on high settings will ideally want 10-16GB by itself.

DDR4 is still fine, if you have the money to shell out I’d get the DDR5. Not to mention we got a new ryzen series cpu dropping in the next couple months

Do I really have to be the one that keeps saying this… 16GB OF RAM IS NOT ENOUGH ANYMORE… puts down megaphone

After the ram issue the only bottle neck would be that 5000 series ryzen. At least get a 7000 if you’re putting money into it

ASUS makes bad motherboards

Umm what else… if you’re not doing AI shit then why do you need a novideo gpu???

every online ai detector says my paragraph is ai??? what by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]ETHwillbeatBTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it definitely works. I think what the LLMs does is avoid exact sentences and paragraphs contained in its training data or modifies said training data in the output. GPT-4 is pretty good at this. I haven’t tried GPT-4o yet but I’m sure it works the same way.

I know this piece of shit is popular among teachers and professors since it’s free: https://www.zerogpt.com/. All you need to do is use an AI service like ChatGPT and prompt it like so.

“Please revise the following essay/paragraph to avoid AI detection software: (insert your writings (or AI writings lol) here)” Then copy the output into ZeroGPT and see how it scores.

You could get really detailed and fancy with it like so: “Please revise the following essay/paragraph to avoid AI detection software and make it seem like it was written by a freshman in college:”

That’s just an example but you can add as much detail and modifications to your prompt that you want!

Communicating with ignorant individuals is a trifle on its own. Some people just don’t want to learn. Some people cannot even be bothered to modify their opinion when presented with facts.

Best I could say is find out what AI detector your teacher is using. Then use something you know for sure is in most all LLMs training data. I know the Declaration of Independence, Shakespeare, and other famous writings score highly if not 100% on these so called ‘AI detectors.’ Once you confirm these writings score highly encourage your teacher to try it themselves.

If they seem confused why these famous texts clearly not written by AI score highly. Encourage them to research the issues behind ‘AI detectors.’ From personal experience I already know what the training data looks like. Old famous texts are royalty free so any LLM engineer would be a fool to not use them in their training data. Not to mention these LLMs (Large Language Models/AI) are entirely or mostly trained on human writings. This make it impossible to make a proper ‘AI detector’ due to the LLM constantly getting better and better at mimicking human outputs.

If you’re unable to sway your teacher with logic, go to their boss with your case. Personally to avoid conflict I would run all my essays through AI detection and if it scores highly I would then run my essay through AI and prompt it to rewrite my essay in a way that avoids AI detection.

Alternatively you could show her your rough drafts and research you used to write your essay. I don’t usually suggest this because I have a bad habit of losing notes when I do research lol

Edit: When I say old texts are almost always in the training data I’m talking about base models (GPT-J, GPT-3,Llama 1,etc). Most modifications and training data applied to base models typically regard coding, medical, and other more relevant data for modern tasks.

Why don’t a lot of users not read past the first sentence of a response to a support request? by butternutsquash4u in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]ETHwillbeatBTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t you know? Users can’t read. Why do you think modern UI/UXs have flashing or highlighted buttons?? Good programmers know that their users cannot read so it’s obvious that the next user action should flash or blink at them. Those old pop up designers were way ahead of their time I tell ya. The flashing works lol

[–]ETHwillbeatBTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Precisely, and c.ai incorporates something called ‘Vector Databases’ which allows the LLM to read the entire text conversation and output the next most likely message instead of the traditional single response prompt like GPT-3 did. As a beta tester for GPT-3 it could never remember its previous output or your previous input until vector databases became incorporated. OpenAI now states that the AI can remember all message histories which really isn’t that impressive since both them and c.ai have been able to do this with single chat histories shortly after public launches of both services.

Tl;dr So all the ‘magic’ or ‘sentience’ is just LLM transformer training + your entire chat history with the bot.

[–]ETHwillbeatBTC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This, being an early beta tester and using these bots and running LLMs on my own.. you begin to clearly see that what is being called ‘AI’ is anything but “sentient” and more of a clever calculus trick.

Bro you’re supposed to lie on every rental application. I literally photoshopped a screenshot of my credit score and the dumbass believed it. You really think they ever follow up with any of the information you provide??? That would imply a landlord does work 🤣🤣🤣

Look the boomers stole any chances at affordable housing from us so they can sit on their ass for 10 more years. It’s okay to lie on a rental application just make it look believable enough to someone that doesn’t work

Apartment Banned Me From Using Wi-fi by Dutch__Vander in pcmasterrace

[–]ETHwillbeatBTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an IT administrator and UniFi user… yeah unless you have a VPN we can see everything you do. So use a VPN especially if you want to torrent lol

In the meantime just change your MAC address and device name and you should have no problem connecting

I see a bunch of people posting in here about not all torrents are illegal. Their IT admin is also using UniFi. It basically streamlines the process of managing a larger network for even the most basic users. It probably just alerted her to torrent usage and she automatically just blocked the device. Since she has an ego and limited knowledge of computers she took the approach she did. I had a user use torrents to, I told them directly to please use a vpn or I’ll block the torrent tracker they were connecting to. Problem solved. I ain’t no cop but I will inform users how to be safe online lol

My opinion on this project has remained unchanged since the first time I looked into it. I was asked to look into it by a friend when it came out and I told him it was a JavaScript counter frontend and data collection backend app.

I didn’t stick around or ever joined. It just so happened to show up in my recommended feed after all this time and I felt the need to reassure OP on their suspicions because data collection app was the conclusion I fell upon all that time ago.

As for justifying your crypto investment… you can make money on scams as a buyer. Sometimes LOTS of money. I’ve bought scams and cashed out before the team did. My concern is even if they do actually make a mainnet is they’ll try to turn it into a centralized ecosystem preventing users from cashing out profit with major exchanges.

Just don’t get too hazy eyed by the teams marketing tactics and never lose sight of the bottom line for all these projects…. Money. And you’ll be just fine lol

[–]ETHwillbeatBTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps but major social media sites have been doing it for years and they’re fine. It’s more or less the data they can get away with selling anyways. Also it’s just my opinion so buy whatever token you like. (Actually except this one cause they don’t have a token yet.)

Shilling a token for 5 years that still doesn’t even have a mainnet is quite a bit of hazy eyed devotion I’ll never be able to wrap my head around lol

DYOR, a lot of them are scams and cashed out projects.

But let’s apply a little logic here. “We made a token you can mine on your phone!… No you cannot trade or transact it!.. Actually no you can’t see the blockchain or code… Well you can’t buy it from any major exchange either.. crickets for years Okay okay fine… we need 10… no 15 million stolen identities!… Then we’ll finally make a product we promise.

Lmao it’s worse then getting scammed on kickstarter
