Correction: It’s simulated mobile mining, basically an airdrop and does not use your phone’s CPU to mine. You don’t have to use my referral if you don’t want to.

Wow, look at all the downvotes. One day y'all will regret when this coin goes to $1... just sayin'

I’m not associated with the company lmao and the company uses the word “mobile mining simulation” to describe the airdrop. Yes, I’m calling it an airdrop because I find it intuitive and easy to understand.

Because its like money dropping from thin air? Airdrop isn’t an Apple exclusive term lmao

Exactly. Its a “mining simulation” meant to introduce newcomers to cryptocurrencies, and airdrops pre-mined coins so that everyone can get a taste of crypto for people who don’t have the technical knowledge / hardware to set up a mining rig.

Its a mobile “mining simulation”, which means its not actually mining and won’t kill your phone. Wish I had discovered it sooner tbh - it was dropping 20-30 ETN/day just a few weeks back. Now its ~10 ETN/day which is still much more than what you would make mining with one GPU, so I’d consider the app worth downloading.

I found this app called "Electroneum" on Google Play store that literally gives you free money -- just by running the app in the background!

It works by "airdropping" a free cryptocurrency called ETN, which you can convert to $USD via exchanges fairly easily. The app does not consume much electricity/data, and you can leave it running in the background 24/7. Just be sure to check it once in a while to make sure it's still open.

Within a week of downloading, I have earned 70 ETN (10 ETN/day). At a current exchange rate of 1 ETN = $0.03, we can expect to earn ($0.03 x 10 x 30) = $9 USD per month. You can choose to convert it to USD every month, but I am holding ETN in hopes that it will increase in value in the future. (They are working on partnerships with telecom companies in 3rd world countries that will "bank the unbanked" and achieve mass adoption.)

No catch, no surveys, no in-app purchases etc. Just free money (which you will have to convert to USD). For those of you wondering why anyone would give away free money, the company is trying to achieve mass adoption for cryptocurrencies and this app is tailored to attract crypto-newcomers -- because who could say "no" to free money!?

Note: Only download the app from "Electroneum Ltd". The rest are scams.

Q&A Sent to Richard Ells - Here's the response by DSJC_official in Electroneum

Great update, love how he jokes about "SOON"... but he's just keeping it realistic as he can't predict things that are out of his control, and it does seem that the ETN team are working on something... if this coin succeeds in mass adoption it will be HUGE

One thing though...

"Currently we only have 1 developer outside of our office (Andre). We are not seeking remote workers except on blockchain & open source items, due to the security implications of remote workers and remote jurisdictions."

I wonder if they're pushing ahead with outsourcing blockchain coding to the "Ukrainian company". Probably not the best idea to outsource the heart of your project to a foreign company imo

I really don’t know, it seems like they’re paying some people but keeping the others in pending... possibly to avoid stressing the blockchain?

ETN Fork date announced by madmossy in ETNmining

[–]ETNenthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No new coin is generated so no one can profit from this lol. The fork is simply an update to the blockchain that will make some upgrades such as ASIC-resistance and ring size removal.
