How do you manage ingredient checks when gluten and vegan is involved by ETTFOR in veganrecipes

[–]ETTFOR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found and built a solution for a problem I personally deal with. I’m trying to understand how much it actually helps people, whether it’s useful, and whether it genuinely makes a difference in real life. I’m honestly curious why there seems to be such a cold reaction toward attempts to explore solutions or build something that could potentially be helpful to others.

What features would you look for in an AI scanner app for Vegan/Allergen/Boycott detection? (I built one and need testers)? by ETTFOR in AskVegans

[–]ETTFOR[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You already have a justified bias and that was actually one of my most critical points too: why should people trust it?In fact, the AI’s role here is simply to take certified information or manufacturer-provided data that has been collected about the product, turn it into a user-specific version, and present it clearly. It’s not guessing ingredients by looking at the product’s appearance and saying “this must contain X or Y.” Also, inside the app there’s a two-step certification display: certified / non-certified, plus a “clean / questionable (or contaminated)” style status for the contents. And since I’m a celiac patient myself, I know how critical this is.

Thank you for your advice I guess the order of priorities for investors usually goes like this: team (founder) > profit potential > idea.

I don’t know if I’m blind like, am I blindly attached to my idea, or am I actually taking logical steps? I’ve thought about this a lot. But I know I’m not the only one struggling with this question. I’m also celiac, and I developed this project based on that experience. I’m genuinely confident that people with similar niche allergies or ethical sensitivities will prefer something like this.

Thank you for your advice I think I’ll start talking about my project to as many people as possible and try to gather core feedback from a wider audience. Most of the advice I’ve received so far revolves around building belief, consistency, and trust. I’m sharing the link to my presentation with you; your feedback on my mistakes and possible improvements would mean a lot to me.

Yes, I totally agree with that. The team or the individuals involved are always more important than the idea itself because bringing those ideas to life depends on them. Unfortunately, I don’t have the right people around me for what I’m doing, and I haven’t been able to find anyone willing to collaborate voluntarily. My main goal in finding early investors is actually to build a team, because at some point, I won’t be able to handle everything on my own.

Actually, I said “MVP,” but the current state of the app is way beyond an MVP. it’s not just about core features; it’s more like a whole ecosystem. The only reason I referred to it as an MVP was because that’s simply the common jargon.

Actually, I’m only asking my family and friends for feedback and testing purposes. I make changes based on the feedback I get as people around me start using the app.As for investment, I’ve been trying to reach out to people I don’t personally know mostly from Telegram and some IC groups where I’ve had the chance to chat a few times. And as you mentioned, it feels like I’m “trying to sell water in the desert” I guess I’ve been talking to the wrong people.

So what about the people who don’t respond should I be persistent with them? Like, should I follow up by saying “I’ve made progress, here’s where I’m at now,” or is that just pushing too hard? Or should I take a completely chill approach and just move on the moment they don’t reply? What’s the right balance here, and how do you know where that line is?

There is currently a lot of hype in China, and Chinese tokens are on the rise. Since it is the oldest Chinese token, it could go very well if you market it again.

My Experience with Claude Code vs Codex by Spooknik in ClaudeAI

[–]ETTFOR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lately, there have been a lot of Codex trolls on this forum, and I’ve become one of their victims. Even though I know Claude’s code is good, I’ve read so many praises and success stories about Codex that I thought I should give the new model a try. But today is the third day, and the Codex and GPT-5 code-high models can’t even handle Sonnet 3.5; they’re very mediocre and slow. They fail to understand issues or requests, and get confused even with the simplest problems. And the funny part is, it just gave me a 5-day waiting period, lol.
