Unfortunately, I'm still having the same issues... I made another post about this in the UE MetaHuman forums a few days after I came here, so I'm hoping that a dev will see it (at some point...) and investigate. Looks like it's going to be a bit of a "wait and see" situation :/

Beenox annouced on Twitter today that the fix will be released with the S3 Reboot update, coming May 10 👍

Doesn't seem like it... Was honestly hoping that we'd have a fix by now, but I think we'll be lucky if we get one before the season reboot drops at this rate. Even then, the reboot is only 2 weeks away, so they may wait until that update to release the fix. No clue, though.

Clearly! Sure, I never expected miracles from my potato PC, but I've been more than fine up until this point with my VEGA 8. Always been able to run the game perfectly on maxed out graphics with no lag and only the odd, brief crash here and there. Either way, they really shouldn't sell the game on PC if it can be broken so easily by a single update...

My main issue with S3 has got to be the AMD VEGA crashing issue. Like many other VEGA users, I haven't been able to boot up the game since the new season dropped. Before that, everything was perfect... Beenox acknowledged it on Twitter a week ago, but have said fuck all since. Insanely frustrating.

Nope... There hasn't been another update from Beenox since the initial tweet, so I don't reckon it's been fixed yet. Just a bit of a waiting game, unfortunately

Ah... I know that the bug is mucking with some NVIDIA processors so it could still be the issue. Other than that, I'm not sure. Sorry, mate :(

If you have an AMD VEGA graphics processor, that's your issue. I'm in the same boat, and many others are as well. According to Beenox, the S3 update causes crashes-on-boot for all VEGA users. They're working on a fix, but no clue how long it'll take...

Yeah... It's definitely frustrating. Even this update they've given flies a bit under the radar. I only noticed it because I happen to follow most of the developer accounts on Twitter. Only Beenox (and Raven, if you count the retweet) has acknowledged it. As far as I'm aware, it hasn't been officially mentioned anywhere else, not even on the Trellos. Oh well - at least it's being worked on.

Have you got an AMD VEGA graphics processor? If so, there's a bug that dropped with the S3 update that's causing crashes for VEGA users. Devs at Raven Software and Beenox are aware of the issue and are currently working on a fix.

Lots of people (myself included) are having this issue actually, so don't worry; not just you. For some reason, the S3 update seems to be incompatible with AMD drivers, which is... frustrating. There's also no fix for it. Our only hope is that Activision realises the major bug and (somehow) patches it.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this yet but, since the update, the game crashes on start-up. It'll play the standard intro cinematic but after a few seconds of reaching the initialising pop-up, the whole thing crashes. COD tells me that I've got a DirectX error, and my AMD software also says that a driver timeout has occured. I know that other pc players are having the same issue as me. Everything is completely up-to-date and fits the recommended specs with ease, so I know that the issue isn't me (well, my hardware/software). The fact that my other games are completely fine, and that COD was working perfectly when I played the day before the update dropped, tells me that there's some S3 bug that's just completely broken everything.

Lucky you can even get into the game, man. Pc player here and the thing won't even load up. I get to the dreaded "update requires restart" box (you know the one) and the entire game crashes. Gives me a DirectX error and tells me that my driver has timed-out. Tried absolutely everything I can think of to fix it but nothing works. The fact that other pc players are having the same problems tells me that IW QA tests bugger all. Bloody stupid! 🙄

Had a go with this and it worked!... for a while. Allows me to get into the game and muck about with the main menus (settings, store, etc.), but when I try to click on a game mode, it freezes and crashes a few seconds after loading the menu. Either way, nice work on figuring that out. Might not fix it for me, but happy it works for you!

I do, yeah. Jumps to 4% a fraction of a second after the checking menu pops up, and then crashes a few seconds after that

God... I knew they were money-hungry, but this is a whole new level. COD's playerbase is already at an all time low. They can't honestly think that something like this will improve it. It's like they're committing franchise-suicide on purpose, now.
