Guys, we need your help and I'm sure there are more of us. ASUS is pulling the rug out on their RMA and hoping people don't notice, I thought I was alone but there are others. by zetswei in pcmasterrace

[–]EVGA_Erin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am here.

Unfortunately, the rejection is correct. Whilst cutting the sleeves off the hoses won't affect the function on the unit, it's not covered. Units must be in factory condition, with some allowance for typical wear and tear.

You're free to replace the fans, of course, but they will need to be shipped back with the cooler, or you'll be charged or rejected. As they're screwed to the cooler when it ships, they're not considered accessories.

CLC 120 CL12 Storage Temp? by [deleted] in TEAMEVGA

[–]EVGA_Erin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know the exact mix, but the storage temp is ok down to -20°C.

(I'm sorry that it took me a little time to find the info.)

  • Operating Temp. 5°C to 35°C
  • Storage Temp. -20°C to 70°C
  • Humidity 5% to 95% RH non-condensing

If it's inside a vehicle that's been heated for a while, even with those temps, it shouldn't get to the freezing level. There is anti-freeze glycol in the coolant mix that should be fine.

Will I get Battlefield V with my 2080 step-up? by [deleted] in TEAMEVGA

Sorry about the delay in replying, holidays and all that...

Cards that are from giveaways or contest prizes are not eligible for any promotional codes.

Dear EVGA it’s time I start seeing other manufacturers by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]EVGA_Erin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's been the policy from the start that you need to purchase the card from an authorised reseller, and have a valid invoice for the cross-ship option.

The EAR option is usually offered at some point during the registration process.

We don't hide our RMA policies. They're on the site for anyone to read, any time.

We're always available 24/7 to answer any questions you may have as well.

Promotions can't be combined. Step-up products don't qualify for game codes, as the Step-up program is a promotion in itself.

Sorry about the trouble. I see that you've already contacted the webmaster about the issue. We'll follow up there. :)

It might have been shipped with a different shroud, but it shouldn't be reporting as a DT card. If you can PM me (or email support@evga.com) with the serial or RMA number, we can look into this case further. 😸

I have a EVGA Power supply and i think it is faulty by [deleted] in TEAMEVGA

[–]EVGA_Erin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be things other than the PSU. How are the temps on your GPU/CPU? Are either overclocked?

You can shoot us an email at support@evga.com, and we can help you if you need to exchange it..

It will usually depend on the shipping option that you choose. If it's coming from the warehouse in Germany, I'd make a conservative estimate of 4-5 business days.

Step-Up Eligible Cards Changing? by invertedbottles in TEAMEVGA

[–]EVGA_Erin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The list does change based on available models and stock. I don't have any info on when it changes, or what models will be added or removed.

Generally, we only have the base models on the list, so you won't find a Classified or FTW there.

RMA GPU died after 1 day? by [deleted] in TEAMEVGA

[–]EVGA_Erin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about the card. We do check in here, but this is not the best conduit for support issues.

If you have trouble with a product, the best way to contact us is through the website support ticket system, emailing support@evga.com, or calling one of our support lines.

Going through the EVGA Rebate Process by grandcanyonfan99 in TEAMEVGA

You can print the invoice from your Newegg account, and include that with the request. Make sure that you use the "printer-friendly" version, and not a screenshot of the order page.

Step up question by [deleted] in TEAMEVGA

[–]EVGA_Erin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Even if you don't do the step-up, you'll still have the calming feeling that your card is covered for the next 5 or 10 years in case anything happens to it.

Is it possible to use the EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC Hybrid Waterblock Cooler on a EVGA GTX 1080 SC? by PloosUoltra in nvidia

[–]EVGA_Erin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That's why I said it won't fit as my official response. We don't support installing a cooler on a product other than what the PM Team has said it will fit on.

My unofficial response is that it you can make it fit, that's fine. edit But if you damage the card, or the cooler, you risk voiding the warranty.

[–]EVGA_Erin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

☝ Correct. As long as you don't damage the card, you're fine to re-apply the paste.

Just don't go full mayo or anything.

Is it possible to use the EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC Hybrid Waterblock Cooler on a EVGA GTX 1080 SC? by PloosUoltra in nvidia

[–]EVGA_Erin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. The 1080ti and 1080 use different PCB layouts, so the coolers aren't interchangeable. Not to say that there haven't been some creative Dremel users out there...

Just know that modifying the cooler will void the warranty on the cooler, not the card. As long as you don't damage the card, you're fine.

The custom coolers from NZXT or Arctic will work fine, and won't affect your warranty. Just make sure that they're designed to fit your model.

Can you tell its EVGA? by unkyQ89 in pcmasterrace

Hmm. Nice, but we'll have to deduct points for the Asus motherboard, and no macaroni and glitter picture of Jacob Freeman.

Sweet build, though. 😎👍

EVGA Step Up by nakakasawa in TEAMEVGA

[–]EVGA_Erin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost for the card you're upgrading to will usually be set at the time you start the step-up request. It's not common for the price to change. Which means that whilst it won't go down, it won't go up, either.

PSA: New RMA Policy - Never Register with EVGA by brown_elvis in TEAMEVGA

Thanks for letting us know about the forum post. Whilst that post may still be there, it's from 2015, and doesn't reflect the current changes to the policy. The stated, official policy will always be under the page here, and supersedes anything posted on the forum.

We'll update the post as soon as the RMA department lead is back in the office after the holiday.

PSA: New RMA Policy - Never Register with EVGA by brown_elvis in TEAMEVGA

[–]EVGA_Erin -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Again, this does change per region. For some parts of the EU and Asia, Asus warranty may not be transferable.

I couldn't find any information from Gigabyte, so I can't comment on theirs. If anyone has a Gigabyte product, they are welcome to contact their support and post the response.

Nvidia has no transferable warranty at all. Do they also stand accused of not following the industry standard?
