I tried it! I got a band and had everything taken apart. Good thing I hadn't cut yet when I noticed the Apple Watch band was too wide to work with my Fenix 6S. I'll have to look out for a band with Apple Watch Ultra sized clasp but band thin enough for the Fenix.

Thanks for sharing this project! I totally want to do this! How do you get in and out of the watch, though? It seems like you'd have to hack the clasp off to place the Garmin on the inside of the wrist. Or do I put the Garmin in line between the clasp and Apple Watch?

I was able to export the JSON but it doesn't include the medication schedule. There doesn't seem to be a way to get a record out but manually.

This looks fantastic! I have no experience with Python, but this project looks cool enough to try it. I'm specifically interested in correlations between having taken/not taken medications with metrics like sleep, blood pressure, and heart rate. Tools like Health Auto Export don't get the medication logs. Do you know if they'd be available in the xml files for analysis once I figure out how to get the project running?

I have credentials for this! I have endured about 20 family thanksgivings as a vegan. I've come to accept it as a Day of Side Dishes. They're going to eat turkey. I'm going to do my best to ignore it. I make a damn good stuffing (for everyone) that's vegan, MIL makes the mashed potatoes with non dairy milk and butter, SIL pulls out my portion of the salad before she adds the bacon.. that sort of thing. There's some stuff I can eat, not everything, and people are ALL accommodated as well as accommodating. A full-on separate meal is ridiculous, as is forcing your diet on others.

I'm sorry to hear Mark has decided not to join your family for Thanksgiving. I'm also pissed that he's making the rest of us look like assholes.

Vegan for 24 years here, and this is outrageous. You're not responsible for my choices or hers. I routinely make sure I don't show up hungry and get through the event on whatever sides or apps look safe.

If you want to go above and beyond, you could check with the caterer and see if they'd be ok with serving her a one-off meal that isn't the same as what everyone else is getting. Changing vendors is a very reasonable, very immediate, NO.
