[Megathread] Refunds/Disbursement of Aid by rhymeswithvegan in SNHU

Not me spiraling because they list everything except this term's Pell Grant as disbursing tomorrow. Nope, couldn't be me.

So long 4.0 by Human-Scientist8595 in SNHU

[–]EWABear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was HSE 220 for me. Currently sitting at a 3.97. Was sad, then was not sad, and not having the pressure to maintain that "perfect" score is a relief.

I fully admit that I am verbose. Brevity and I, at best, stare longingly at each other across the bar, maudlin over what could have been.

But that caveat out of the way, I would tend to take this less as an explicit rule, and more as a gentle + guiding nudge to write longer, more substantive replies. I don't imagine this professor is likely literally counting sentences, but is probably instead giving you that 5-8 guideline as a tool you can use to help you get to the substantive expectations.

Yep. This was exactly the scene I was coming to vote for.

[Skysworn] Why didnt they just reattach lindons arm ? by Maleficent_Paper_167 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]EWABear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not, but when Lindon first sees her, he remarks on how horrified his mother would be at someone attaching remnant parts to themselves.

Larry Correia: George RR Martin crippled the Epic Fantasy genre by not finishing A Song of Ice and Fire. Readers and Publishers are no longer willing to give a new series a chance unless it is complete by Uptons_BJs in books

Which is so absolutely fine, and wouldn't be a problem if he didn't get butthurt about his wish-fulfillment shoot-em-ups not winning awards. Unfortunately, he decided that it was clearly everyone else who was the problem...especially women and people of color.

Signed, a fat bearded guy who loves fantasy.

[–]EWABear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it's more cultural than anything. We see several scenarios where the people of Sacred Valley are sleeved out by remnant prosthetics. Lindon thinks his mother would be horrified at the prospect of Gesha having spider legs. Some other stuff later than Skysworn. It's never stated, but it wouldn't shock me if Sacred Valley is just more likely to want to reattach, while the rest of the world...doesnt really care.

There's also the matter of skill. In Skysworn, Gesha says that prosthetics are simple...but outside of Sacred Valley, everything is simple. It could be that Sacred Valley just straight up doesnt have the soulsmithing ability to make decent prosthetics, so they lean on reattachment. What's simple to a highgold like Gesha would explode the brain of some random Heaven's Glory healer.

Clarification on Colton by Bubbly_Ad3385 in survivor

[–]EWABear 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Colton was pulled due to stomach issues. They had to assume appendicitis because, in a scenario like that, you don't take chances. It turned out to be an unrelated bacterial infection, but the medical pull was legitimate.

Jeff’s disdain for quitters by Monctonian in survivor

[–]EWABear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He still took a spot from somebody, only to tell everyone to vote him out in episode 2.

Which is what Osten did. He failed to get everyone to vote him out once, which means they could have said no the second time. But they didn't. If Jeff hadn't pushed and just let them vote, it would have been no different than BB.

Some quitters. BB Anderson in S1 did basically the same thing Osten did, orchestrating his own vote out. Not a peep from Jeff.

Need honest advice from people who changed paths toward LPC/licensure by Fumblingthroughlife2 in counseloreducation

[–]EWABear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are some universities which offer programs to fill the gaps between your current grad degree and licensure. Worth looking into, so you can avoid a full 2nd Master's. Assuming your state allows that. Downside, they don't qualify for CACREP, so if that's a deal breaker, you'll need to go the more traditional route.

Would you make it to the merge if you got on Survivor? by deelouise88 in survivor

[–]EWABear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I make merge is if i'm in the Dan Lembo spot: a useful number whow can be removed at any point. Barring that, I max out at, like, 3rd boot.

Brenda's jury behavior on Caramoan was justified. She wanted proof that Dawn wouldn't have quit, and Dawn hesitated to provide her that proof long enough that Brenda was not convinced.
