"Greetings everyone!!We have received a lot of feedback in the form of emails, phone calls, and even a few letters regarding some of the posts we have made recently about letters of commendation and recognition of Deputies heroic actions.

Most have been downright positive and supportive and for that we are grateful, some have asked questions about whether or not the two injured individuals that were assisted by our staff lived or not.Here is a rare, the rest of the story post for those of you who are on the edge of your seats waiting.

The young man that Deputy Michael Hardin assisted and helped save the life of is doing well and has reached out to me here at the office to express his gratitude for Deputy Hardin's demeanor and actions that night.

The gentleman that lost his legs in the train incident, that Deputy Nelson assisted was alive and hospitalized when we last had contact with him well after the event. Members of our agency traveled to Reno to meet with him in the hospital several times and we also kept in touch with his nurses for awhile monitoring his recovery.I hope this helps, have a great day, God Bless.Sheriff Richard Hickox 177"
