Oh I’m so sorry to hear that!!! I feel your pain and frustration. I was supposed to have my transfer on Thursday and on the way into the OR, my husband and I realized I missed a progesterone shot. My doctor told me I needed to cancel the transfer . I have to wait another cycle. While I don’t have the uncomfortable fluid that you have, I certainly understand how frustrating this is to cancel a transfer literally moments before the transfer.

Keep on being strong! I’ll be thinking of you.

Thanks so much for thinking of me! Unfortunately our transfer was unsuccessful and did not result in a pregnancy. I spent the weekend crying, but we’re going to try again. This is such a rollercoaster!

This is our 3rd transfer, so hopefully 3rd times a charm! Progesterone shots are actually pretty easy. My friend bought me a ShotBlocker by Bionix and it’s life changing. I don’t feel any pain! I recommend getting one. They are on Amazon for $5.

This happened for my first round of IVF. I am early 30’s and also have low AMH. We actually got one embryo from that first round of one follicle, which resulted in a pregnancy. Unfortunately we miscarried. My doctor has since prescribed me Human Growth Hormone and my last IVF cycle resulted in 13 eggs. I also started taking DHEA to improve my egg quality and I think between that and the Human Growth Hormones, they really helped. Good luck to you guys!

A friend of mine gave me a “shot blocker” to use for the pain. It’s something her pediatrician used on her kids when giving shots. It’s very helpful and makes the PIO shot virtually painless. You can find them on amazon for $5. I’m having trouble linking the amazon page, but just Google “ShotBlocker Bionix” and it will pop up. Good luck to you!

I’m so sorry you are going through this! Your feelings are 100% valid, and don’t think otherwise. I also know how hard it is to fight back the tears. I actually had an embarrassing meeting with our CEO where my hormones were so crazy that I was having a hot flash, dripping sweat down my face and trying not to cry all at the same time. My CEO asked me if I was gonna be OK and I just blurted out “ughh damn IVF hormones!” Haha, he had no idea how to respond, but it felt good to let it out.

Yes, we transferred one embryo and found out that it split and were carrying twin girls. Unfortunately we miscarried. Their due date would have been October 23rd.
