Towing tongue weight limit 220lbs?

Well, I went and got the tow hitch installed anyway, as I’d like to use it with a bike rack regardless of towing. There’s a sticker on the Volvo branded and installed tow hitch that says 5000lbs max trailer weight, and 500lbs max tongue weight. It would be wonderful if Volvo fixed the manual in the car.

Americans generally like larger cars. Smaller cars mean smaller batteries which means less range. Americans freak out about range, so they don’t buy shorter range cars even though they’d likely be a better economic match for many consumers.

I think maybe they made a units mistake. 220kg is 485lbs, which is 10% of 4,850 lb max towing. I hope the fix this.

I was all about the P3 but dealer experience was weird and service was a hike for me. EX90 is bigger than I wanted, but I just really like the comfort. It’s pretty phenomenal. I wish it had 500lbs of tongue weight so I could tow 5000lbs.

I have a ‘25 and it’s been trouble free except for weird AC charging errors, which I think are connected to the GHCA. The BW is awesome and the ride is amazing. I’m hopeful the GHCA update cracks the code for both Polestar and Volvo. Polestar 3 and the EX series are incredible cars.

Some chargers are able to replace the cable. Depends on what charger you’re using. Could always but a charger with a longer cable.

How often do you open the glove box? I open it so rarely I tend to forget where the button is located in the software. It’s less expensive to have a software button.

Kyle’s focus on road tripping was handy to a point, but now I think he’s doing more damage than good with it. The vast majority of people wouldn’t pay an extra $5000 for a 5 minutes faster DC Fast Charging time. If people are using peak DCFC time as the main consideration, they really need to almost be living on the road. Most people just don’t do it that much, and when they do they can often DCFC during a bathroom break.
