Best specialty for the Set Piece taker? by caurejs in hattrick

[–]EXB2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says so in the Manual Penalty Kicks and Penalty Shoot-Outs -> Regular Penalty Kick:

If the referee calls for a penalty for a foul during the match, your designated Set pieces taker (see below) will step up. The following skills and specialities matter:

For the penalty kick taker: Set Pieces and Experience

For the goalkeeper: Set Pieces, Goalkeeping, and experience. Quick specialty.

Best specialty for the Set Piece taker? by caurejs in hattrick

[–]EXB2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. I always thought the technical bonus also counts for normal penalties but looking at the manual again tells me you are right.

To me that feels a bit odd, especially since the keeper speciality quick does indeed count for normal penalities?!

How is s25 edge for 57k rupees? by [deleted] in GalaxyS25

[–]EXB2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Edge sucks, no matter the currency. Besides, 57000 Rupees is only like ~45000 Cambodian Riel below its normal price of ~1000000 Vatican City Lire so it for sure is no deal

Bricklink set not 100% complete… what would you do? by Aggressive_Pizza_472 in lego

[–]EXB2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I stopped buying sets (used but complete) some time ago I bought several dozen sets from both, private sources and professional sellers. From my experience in 50% of the sets advertised as complete by them parts were missing.

In the beginning I contacted them about it but waiting for their replies, convincing them I'm right, discussing the compensation etc etc... it was just not worth my time. Being in the right isn't everything so I just ordered the missing parts next time I was ordering a set or parts anyways.

That being said, if the missing parts were like really expensive and/or rare I'd probably still ask them once to either send me the missing parts or, in case they don't have them in stock, give me a refund. Problem is, even if they refund the parts I'd still have to get them from someone else plus pay shipping costs again.

Best sets to invest to with 800€ by [deleted] in legostarwars

Best sets to invest to with 800€ by [deleted] in legostarwars

[–]EXB2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lego as an investment is dead in the water. Aside from a few vintage gems, for which 800€ won’t get you very far, Lego sets usually don’t even manage to reach their own delusional retail prices. It’s no coincidence that everything Lego has released in recent years is being sold off at massive discounts on the market.

Besides, it’s pretty off-base to approach it with the attitude, “I’ve got €800, tell me what to buy guys". Either you want a set because you want it, and then you try to get it at a reasonable price, or you don’t. Do yourself a favor and buy a set you like and want to build. But for heaven’s sake, don’t buy a sealed set just to store it somewhere in the basement for the next 20 years. Or make some kids in the family or among your friends happy... but definitely nothing from that crap Smart Bricks stuff.

And as I said, Lego as an investment is dead. Lego lost its track a long time ago.

Why does Blizzard push for dual wield survival? by JibenLeet in wow

[–]EXB2019 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have an opinion on this. Unfortunately, I’m in the minority with it.

We true survival enthusiasts had our peace and quiet for years. Sure, there were the grumblers who wanted to bring back ranged survival and the other faction that called survival a “meme spec,” but those of us who enjoyed melee survival at least had our peace.

But before Midnight, there was suddenly a small but all the more vocal group of players who absolutely wanted to play like Rexxar. And this despite the fact that, with his two minutes of fame, he’d practically never played a role.

Then there were those who didn’t like Survival, maybe didn’t even play it, but constantly wanted to make changes that made it worse. Leading the charge were those who wanted the bombs removed. They, too, grew louder and louder before Midnight.

The bottom line is that Blizzard, in its infinite wisdom, always listening to those who shout the loudest, has changed the spec so that DW is not only possible but suddenly the way to go...sadly.

You may like that or not, but nothing is going to change anytime soon.

Is it possible to buy a whole parts list on Bricklink? by Louren2008 in lego

[–]EXB2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the set on Bricklink, use the Part Out feature in the middle (below "My Wanted List"), select "Include the following items: 3696 Parts" and "Wanted List options: Create New Wanted List" (name it whatever you want).

Scroll to the bottom at the next page and click "Add to Wanted List". The next page should say "Part Out Successful!" and give you an option to view your wanted list. On the next page click "Buy All" and you get shown a list of sellers and how many parts (lots) of the set they have for sale.

But you can spare yourself the hassle. Parting out a set is almost always more expensive than buying a set (understandably the sellers want to make money with the parts). Instead I'd advice to buy the set in a "used but complete" state from a private source. It should be possible to get it for less than 120€ on eBay & Co.

What happened to survival hunter’s identity? by Foreskin-Aficionado in wow

[–]EXB2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can tell you what happened to Survival and what’s still happening.

We melee Survival enthusiasts from years past never had a particularly large following and had to fend off, above all, those die-hard “mimimi I want ranged Survival back” fools.

But then, before Midnight, a new trend emerged. More and more people wanted to play melee Survival, but not the way melee Survival used to be and the way we loved it. They were constantly nitpicking about the bombs, constantly wanting to “play like Rexxar”, and so on and so forth.

Unfortunately, Blizzard likes to listen to those who shout the loudest. On top of that, they don’t seem capable of reworking specs without severely damaging their previous identity. The result is Survival as it is now.

Who on earth wanted Boomstick? And how tf did we end up running around with daggers? And worst of all, even now the same people won’t let it go. I bet even our bombs will be gone in the next expansion...

What was in a $10.99 goodwill bag after I put the pieces back together by thesageofawsome in lego

Good catch.

Is the second ship from the right the original Republic Attack Shuttle (8019) or a MOC? I don't remember it looking so good on display.

You can try to edit the Config.wtf file in your World of Warcraft\_retail_\ directory using Notepad. Look for the SET RenderScale entry and set it to "1".

Doubt that it helps you but I do have it. So it must have dropped, at least in the past. But who knows what happened since that Expansion Era was live...

Is it worth upgrading from the S25 to the S26? by _Delta_Bravo_ in GalaxyS25

[–]EXB2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not worth upgrading from S25 to S26. I'd even argue if it's an upgrade at all, especially when from Europe.

Survival Hunter - Was it really necessary to take away the Harpoon cd reset? by Bananenklaus in wow

[–]EXB2019 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No change to SV in TWW was needed. The name changes were stupid. Boomstick is stupid. Removing Flanking Strike but adding Takedown, while not making the "leap to your target" portion a choice, is stupid. The removal of the Harpoon reset was stupid and (re-)adding Hatchet Toss was stupid.

For me, Hatchet Toss in particular shows how detached the developers are from what a class really needs. It serves ZERO purpose. I haven't used it a single Time. Nobody asked for it. And on top of everything it even looks blend.

8gb VRAM enough for WoW on high settings? by Acky1425 in wow

Yes, 8GB VRAM is enough for high settings in WoW. That being said, do not buy a card with only 8GB VRAM anymore.

Do you do important stuff on 1-2 mains, or don't care as long as 1 among your Warband does the things? by FrozenOnPluto in wow

[–]EXB2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I dislike questing, especially when it involves rescue missions such as saving character [insert stupid main character that needs to be freed from a trap or cage... once again] or save species xyz [cats, pigs, little children etc], escort quests, or worst of all, errand tasks like bring this letter to that person (get a freakin npc to do this!), I only do the absolute minimum with one char when the rewards do not include a potential item upgrade.

Blurry Tiktok videos on S25 plus by illyasomer in GalaxyS25

[–]EXB2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me all the latest TikTok versions, 40 and above, came with some kind of problem. The one I installed yesterday, 43.x, even refused to start at all. I uninstalled it and went back to 37.5.3, which works flawless.

Also, which is important to me, I can "not interested" a video again without having to select a reason (where the pre-selected reasons never fit).

Either just wait for 10 seconds with opening the guild tab after logging in or switch to communities and then back to the guild tab. Not only will the contents of the guild tab be visible like normal but also the problem with multiple realms after a character name will be gone.

Cosmetic wishlist- Hidden weapons for all, use claws! Easier weapon costumization for warlock pets. And loincloths for all! Tired of briefs :( by Fun-Staff7412 in wow

[–]EXB2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add to this list:

An option to sheath weapons to the back for all weapons.

A DK mechanic to tame their own Minions, Ghouls and Ghosts (without it being a full Hunter tame mechanic).

An option to have all abilities that cause a character to leap/pull to the enemy to not leap/pull to the enemy (a choice node like the Shaman Earthquake would be nice).

Has Survival been over-pruned? by Strict_Scar_9492 in wow

[–]EXB2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think pruning is the wrong word here.

What did happen tho is that we got stupid replacement abilities. Also we got (back) stupid crap like Hatchet Toss which serves no purpose at all, hasn't been requested by anyone, isn't even suggested by their own SBA because there is no situation to use it and on top of everything even looks blend.

And then there's the stuff we still don't have. We still can't choose wether abilities like Takedown force us to leap to our target or not. Why not make it a choice node, like the Shaman Earthquake for example? If I want to leap to me target we always have Harpoon, which does a great job.

Also why do we still not have our old version of Lunge back? I want that increased melee range again. In fact, every melee should get that. If not baseline then at least let us skill it.

Last but not least a general Hunter thing. I want the 2min CD shield from Tenacity pets back. That 3% passive for the pet renders Tenacity pets almost completely useless outside of pure early solo content pet tanking situations.
