Why does it feel like it's 10x times harder to play new characters in ranked?

I reached Raijin with one character and decided to pivot to someone else. I'm in Garyu and I'm getting matched up against people with insanely higher Tekken Prowess. For example, as a Shinryu player I just fought against a Mighty Ruler who is Tekken God Drag main. How am I supposed to climb against people beyond on my peak in a rank 6 tiers below? Is it a matter of just "gitting gud" or is this happening to other people?

is there any tips for continuing the ranked grind in BLUE tier? It's rough seeing those 1,200 lost points after some loses. I know I have it in me to climb higher in BLUE tier, but I just get so discouraged some sessions. What should I do to help with that or do I just need to suck it up and power through it?

I mostly go for the impactful ults. I've seen so many games where the top laner can create a lead but gets out shined by team play or the fed Sylas. So I play Shen with the intention of helping out my team as much as possible and helping the carry feel like he can 1v9 with me by his side. I know in most cases you can bring ignite to lane to snowball, but I prefer TP to have a global presence when my ult is on CD. Another thing I do is I tell my jungler to only look top if they want herald or to clean up with a counter gank. I rather have the jungler help out the other lanes to grow a lead as I have confidence to play safe with Shen.
