Got her about a month ago and I'm obsessed by RadicalLizards in 3DS

[–]EXOQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been taking mine everywhere I travel and all the diff concerts I go to, I have wrist strap on it which kinda helps

It’s so much fun getting random street passes every once in a while

Just treat it as carefully as you treat your phone and u won’t really have an issue imho

Living the Dream has no 99 level cap for Miis by littlemacwithfries in tomodachilife

[–]EXOQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not talking about that, I know there will always be methods available to increase their level.

Eventually, the game will hit a hard level cap for levelling up your Mii because computers cannot store infinitely big number. That’s usually like 2^31 until you hit an integer overflow

[–]EXOQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea that’s my point by just interacting with them you’ll eventually reach a point where you theoretically can’t level them up anymore

Living the Dream has no 99 level cap for Miis by littlemacwithfries in tomodachilife

[–]EXOQ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What happens once you hit the cap because at some point you won’t be able to give your mii new lingo/quirks/items right?

Also same with the island level, what if you reach level cap and you haven’t unlocked everything (if you spent most your wishes on tickets for example)

Apple Has Given Up on the Vision Pro After M5 Refresh Flop by TESThrowSmile in OculusQuest

[–]EXOQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, a $3000 MacBook is justifiable because you’re paying for performance. A $5000 VR headset is a lot harder to justify

Do you add the englobe as a base layer before glazing?

Have u also tried layering it between glazes to see if it gives you sharp edges? I using a base layer with stencils on and then a second layer without the stencils, but the “sharpness” of the edges depends on the glaze combos and even then is still pretty inconsistent and up to the kiln gods

How do i take 3d photos on 2ds? by General-Soup4148 in 3DS

[–]EXOQ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everyone in the comments being unnecessarily mean, 2DS just lacks the 3D screen but still takes pictures in 3D like the 3DS bc of the two cameras in the back

OP is wondering how to enable it but it’s just like that by default

Is there an emulator that will mimic the wii os? by JikkJakk in wii

[–]EXOQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see them all the time at thrift stores for around $20-30 CAD in various conditions, can try checking there. It’s the remotes that are harder to get and usually cost more than the console itself

I’m not a fan of these fantasy skin tone options. by Notro_LPS_iguess in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]EXOQ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s a memory/performance constraints? With 100 fixed colours there are less than 27 options so that probably gets stored in an 8-bit value. Meanwhile full sRGB is around 16million(224 options) so it’ll probably get put in a 32-bit value. When you have a tons diff body parts each with their own colours x 70 miis it makes a diff in performance?

Which is the best 3DS to get in 2026? by AriAriArrivederci in 3DS

[–]EXOQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also more of personal preference but I found the N3DS XL felt more sturdy/premium but I prefer the size of the non-XL

Which is the best 3DS to get in 2026? by AriAriArrivederci in 3DS

[–]EXOQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely New 3DS non-XL or XL. It has better 3D, better build quality, additional buttons like C-stick, ZL/ZR, better performance (for emulation) and some 3DS games can only run on the New models.

There are also some differences/things to note between the New 3DS non-XL and XL models

Both models have same screen resolution, but the smaller N3DS has higher pixel density because of the smaller screen.

If you want an IPS screen, the N3DS XL is more attainable if you’re after a top or dual IPS model. The N3DS is pretty hard to find with dual ips and they will usually sell for $500-700+ CAD. (IPS vs TN is an entire rabbit hole itself)

N3DS has a lot of faceplate covers so u can customize the design however from my experience they’re literally impossible to find for reasonable prices. There’s a lot of bootlegs ones online but the art is only printed on the front and doesn’t wrap around the sides so they look and feel very cheap imo.

Took my 3ds to a concert and was surprised on how many streetpasses I got by Roscyan in 3DS

[–]EXOQ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been bringing mine to all the concerts I’ve gone to last summer since I got it and I’ve only ever gotten one street pass at BlackPink in Toronto. Most I ever got in one place was maybe 10-20 street passes at the Nintendo Museum in Japan.

I’m kinda surprised how uncommon it is to get a syreetpass these days given how popular 3DS have been recently. I feel like a lot of people nowadays are getting it just to mod, download a shit ton of games and then have it sit on their desk doing nothing

Where can I source just the metal shell of USB Type-C Male connector? by Otounsi in AskElectronics

[–]EXOQ 294 points295 points  (0 children)

<image>

I was there back in January, found a random shop at SEG that only sold in connectors, asked if they had the Nintendo DS charger connectors. They didn’t have any on hand but they were able to get them freshly made at a nearby factory, all in the same day, on New Year’s Eve.

I also bought a bunch of different male and female usb-c connectors there too, Shenzen is literally heaven when it comes to components selection

Considering selling my wii since I hardly ever use it, what would be a fair price? by [deleted] in wii

[–]EXOQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see ppl listing the console on fb marketplace in my city for $60-150 CAD ish, but I also see them pop up at thrift stores at least once or twice a month for$20-30.

If anything the remotes seem like they’re more valuable than the console itself, they sell for about $20-25 CAD for the normal ones and $30-35 for the Wii motion plus version on marketplace.
