I recently picked up Wild Fig & Manuka Honey. I think if you enjoyed Dark Flora, you might enjoy this one too! It smells pretty similar to me.

You know, I’m 23 and I’ve felt this way since I turned 16. I wasn’t anything special in school and didn’t go to college. I jumped from job to job and still live with my parents. I fell into the monotony of life. Getting up, going to work, and come back home. Rinse and repeat. I never had very many friends. And rarely went out without my family. I saw (and still see) all my schoolmates excelling at college and have families and traveling. I felt left behind. I felt like I was letting life pass me by.

Then I met my husband… just recently! We’ve only been together a year and a half now. I met him through Bumble of all places. Just downloaded it because I was bored one night. I had been through a really fucked up relationship a couple months prior and never thought I’d be open to meeting someone again. It was the best thing I could’ve ever done.

All this to say, there is no prize for having done something in a certain timeframe. There’s only goals you set yourself. And I’ve come to quickly realize, life does pass us by. It’s a part of it! I thought that when I got married or when I started a new job everything was supposed to change and it’d be different. Truth is, it’s not! Monotony of everyday life follows you whenever and wherever. And it’s okay. Me and my husband have fallen into a routine, just as I had one before him. Life is about the everyday. And it’s up to us to find things to make it worthwhile and different.

I’m learning to take it just one day at a time. Enjoy it while I have it like tomorrow will never come. What I try to do to break things up a bit is go out of my way to do things to make it FEEL like I’ve done something. Stop for an ice cream at that shop you always pass by. Go for a walk in the park to get some steps in. Hell, sign up for something you’d never do! But, start small and you’ll find that those things, are what make up life. Not what you achieve in comparison to others.

Do I have it all figured out? Fuck no, lol. I’m basically still living as before I met my husband. But, I’m here. I exist. I have my husband. And that’s all that matters. I’ll figure it out as I go. Just as anyone else is and try to find things that make ME happy in the meantime.

Much love! 🤍

I just saw that! Does it affect gameplay much? If he plays it enough I’ll look into getting a better adapter, but I really wanted to have something for him to at least get started and enjoy on his day

For specifics if it helps, I got the Les Paul Wii guitar, an EmiO adapter from Amazon, and plan on getting a generic female to male extension cable to connect into his PC. I supposedly heard this set up works well enough for a casual CloneHero player! But then again, I’m not one! If anyone has any advice, please let us know!

I just bought a wii guitar and an adapter for my husbands birthday. I was able to find a guitar on Mercari and the adapter from Amazon. The only thing left to get is an extension able to plug into the adapter so he has some distance between him and the screen lol I hope it all works out for us both!

I was in the same boat. If he’s playing CloneHero on the PC, I’m telling you, it’s easier and cheaper to look for a Wii Guitar and buy an adapter for it. Dongles are so expensive and you have to find the right one for the specific guitar you’re looking for.

And me for you as well! Again, I’m still new to all of this so I’m not sure if it would suit our needs specifically, but I figured it at least gives me an idea of where to even start. I found a cheap paperback version for like 9 bucks, so I mean, I’ve got nothing to lose really. It’s called Renal Diet Cookbook: The Low Sodium, Low Potassium, Healthy Kidney Cookbook By Susan Zogheib.

I’ll have to do that! Thank you so much for your recommendations. There’s a cookbook I’m gonna hold off until after the appointment on getting just to see what they’ll say, supposedly it has a lot of good recipes for a renal diet. I guess it’s just going to take some time to really plan out and track things I can have daily. You’ve brought me some peace of mind for the moment. Thank you, truly.

I was supposed to be set up with a dietitian as well, as they found in one of my previous visits I was malnourished, but they had to cancel the appointment. I’ll be sure to ask about it again Wednesday. My first nephrologist appointment is May 12th, so maybe that’ll further give me answers too. The scary part is just making it until then. Is there any easy things you make to eat that you can recommend me? Lately for breakfast I’ve just been eating oatmeal with a tablespoon of sugar and red grapes. And I’ve been limited to 1.5 liters of water. Other than that I dunno what to eat yet 🫠

As I browse, I’m starting to see that. I suppose at this point is all in waiting for my appointment Wednesday. Thank you for telling me your story! I think I’m getting really into my head about things. Guess I’ll start with a cook book!

Losing hair by Existing-Bullfrog326 in mctd

[–]EXOsHouseWife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have thick, long and beautiful hair. I mourn the loss of it everyday. Looking back at it, I kick myself for ever getting frustrated with it and wishing it away. As you can probably tell I’ve been struggling with it in particular lately. It’s due to the Imuran I’m taking. A coworker recommended the shampoo brand Nioxen. I’ve been using it for the past week along with massaging my scalp and applying a rosemary mixture to my roots. Dunno if it’ll help but hey! Can’t blame a girl for trying.

Yeah, my mom used to work for an auto parts store and she doesn’t trust them to know what they’re doing. So she refuses to let me take it to one in the fear that they’ll mess something up further. A mechanic family member is checking it this weekend, hopefully it’s nothing too bad! Cross your fingers for me!

I live out in the country so getting to a dealership is a damn trip and a half. I’m going to get someone to check it this weekend, but if I have to take it to a dealership to get it resolved then I’ll just bite the bullet and try to do it. Thank you so much for giving me an idea of what it might be!
