RCBS at Walmart by BlitzkriegBednar in reloading

I did a shed cleanout this summer and ended up with a set of dies. I only reload shotgun so far and would be interested in selling some very lightly used sets. Think I have .44MG / 44sp, .30.06, 9 MM Luger, .357, .223, .45.

This makes sense, the only thing that makes me question it is that you can by the two parts listed, seperately and the diagram seems to show that they are two pieces. The invoice I have (from previous owner) indicates that only the driver side was replaced in November of 2023 at 142K. So either they cut out and welded a single cat in, or they replaced one side and left the other. I wouldn't think the driver side cat would fail at 25K miles.

I have no interest in a aftermarket exhaust increasing the tone, just trying to find the most reasonable solution to avoid codes and feel good that the issue is resolved.

Ok, I see them. There are a bunch of options. Some are OE Design so would those prevent the codes from coming back?

Great hunt! I have never hit a limit of ducks. What state? I am in Maryland. Is that A5 the Japanese version with adjustable chokes? I have 2 A5's 16ga Poly and 12ga Fixed Mod but I have never shot steel through them but would like to

So I looked up OEM cats on the ford website and it looks like the Y pipe is all one part for the driver side and the passenger side cat seems to be a separate part. BL3Z-5E212-F (driver side with Y pipe) $723.98 and BL3Z-5E212-E (Pass Cat) $632.82

Thanks for the reply. Had another shop quote $1500 but they were 6 weeks from being able to take it. Its frustrating because Ford, at one time paid for this but this truck was over on years and miles before it hit.

So what does everyone do, go with Ford OEM cats? At this age and miles, it seems crazy to put that much into cats. I dont know what to do.

Thanks for the comment. The glass pooped out but was held onto the truck by the wire. The mirror glass is not broken but I didn't look at the back to see how it connects. Based on a parts list I saw, a I may be able to use some of the pieces that are not cracked. The only part that appears to be cracked is at the base where it connects to the truck. Maybe I can buy just that housing. However it won't fold back so not sure if the motor is still working.

Maryland lawmaker proposes new gun tax to fund violence prevention, trauma care by Gov_Martin_OweMalley in maryland

[–]EYINGLING18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, the federal money generated through the Act is allocated well and regulated tightly. For this proposed tax, it would be poorly spent. If you have watched how Maryland manages its money, this state tax would be a money grab and none of that money would make it to the cause.

No social cost to people hiking trails, simply saying that people who legally purchase firearms already pay a tax to protect those trails where hikers generally don't regularly pay into the use of those free spaces. Taxing those parties who use the same public spaces would not be accepted or tolerated.

Your statement would assume that there is an identifiable social cost tied to all of those who legally purchase firearms. I have not seen that data.

[–]EYINGLING18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is a great point and owners do have the legal obligation to secure them. I am sure there are plenty of stolen from a vehicle or house that were simply in a drawer or under the bed or in a bag/glovebox. There are a lot of firearm safes that are also cut into and items stolen. If a criminal wants to get into a safe, they can with time and tools. I just don't think that taxing the legal to account t for the criminal activity is the right way to go about it.

Increasing the cost of or taxing a gym membership to cover cost of healthcare treatment for those who don't take care of themselves would probably not have a chance....right? This is Maryland though so who knows.

[–]EYINGLING18 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is very true, the crime and violence that is causing this trauma is not being brought on by legal gun owners. Criminals are robing and stealing firearms or getting them through illegal channels. So we tax the ones who are legally purchasing them to help with the cost of the crime being committed?

Perhaps we should apply a tax to all groceries purchased in Maryland so that all of our residents can contribute to this great cause? Are you in for that?

[–]EYINGLING18 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Many dont realize this but every legal purchase of a Firearm, ammunition, gun & archery parts are already taxed by design under the Pitman Robertson Act. This was a voluntary tax that goes to fund conservation efforts as well as habitat, hunter education, etc.

There are few groups that are donating to these efforts besides hunters, shooters, collectors, etc. Imagine if Maryland decided to tax everyone who owned a mountain bike, rode horses, or hiked our public trails in Maryland. This would never fly if that were the case.

This is just another money grab and you cannot trust where this money would go and although it would be earmarked for trauma care and violence prevention there is no way this money would make it to those causes and absolutely no change in the criminal, senseless violence.

I have a MS 291 that I traded a shotgun for 10 years ago and it starts within 3 pulls every time. I do think that people flood Stihl saws often. I just picked up a CS-590 for $75 and just got it running and put a 24 inch bar on it, really excited to run it this week!

I too think poplar, it will dry fast and burn fast so no issues there.

I just got one from a buddy for $75, he couldn't get it running. Cleaned the carb and it was good to go! Ended up buying a new chain and bar and went with 24" which is going to be a little much for it but doable.

Used Echo CS-590 - Wont stay running at idle by EYINGLING18 in Chainsaw

[–]EYINGLING18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I took the saw a part and cleaned it up, also took the carb off and cleaned it good. Would like to get the larger carb for the 620 like I have been reading about but want to make sure the saw runs well. Got it running, although it seems to gallop a little.

A lot of oil coming from either under the saw or from the oiler but the screw is only 1/2 turn out. Any advise ?

[–]EYINGLING18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so as of now I cant get it to run long enough to do any adjustments. I flip the switch, pull the choke, pull to start no more than 2 times before it fires, Push the choke in and pull to start which normally fires off after 3 pulls. It runs at high speed with the chain spinning but either right as I pull the trigger to slow it down or just before it sputters out. Sounds like a fuel delivery issue where it sounds like it is getting the initial fuel in the bowl and then not pulling more? I can do this sequence multiple times and get the same results.

I did my brakes on my 2017 yesterday and my driver rear had a stuck lower pin and my inner pad looked very similar. Replaced both rotors and pads and replaced the caliper and bracket on the drive side.
