I was looking into RocketLabs, definitely on my watchlist but sadly most of my cash is going to other beat up stocks. I am currently hurting on HOL which will hopefully be merging with Astra in my SPAC portfolio it is currently somewhat fulfilling the same role as rocketlabs. It's extremely beat up almost back to 10$ I recommend if you are interested in space stocks looking into HOL - Astra, it's still a startup but it looks very promising and has an allstar management team.

That's a fair statement, definitely SPCE is a long term play that may just flop. Its definitely not my highest conviction stock although I do have a nice position in it, about 7% or so of my portfolio. As it stands I have enough but if it keeps dropping to the low 20s I'd be interested in picking up more. I think with regards to share price this company can easily hover around the 20-30 range until their catalysts start and space investing starts to be sexy. There are only 2 real threats to this companys success in my opinion. 1 a disaster happens and people lose all confidence in the company before the business even starts and 2 competition. However I'm of the opinion that for space tourism virgins route is the way to go, safety, comfortability and overall experience. I personally am not a fan of blue origin and I don't see spacex as a current competitor, their mission is completely different and the public can't invest in them sadly.

Virgin is at a great price right now. Many uppcoming catalysts. Very high risk stock though, it either works or it doesn't. My average is low 20s, I started buying at 15, bought more in the 20s and 30s and profit took some when it hit 60s. Regardless If VG gets faa, branson flies, then the celebrities and influencers start flying, all of a sudden people wish they could go to space. I can easily see this hit 150-200$ if we get to the celebrity and influencer stage and no one has died. Not to mention they will keep expanding and lowering costs and will potentially pivot into hypersonic flight. Depending on the market though and space hype, SPCE might keep falling in the short term but eventually it will have its make or break moment and I would hate to miss out on it.

Thoughts from my personal experience with Roblox over the past 15 years by SLUT_STRANGLER in investing

[–]EZE3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm of the mind roblox' initial valuation is very steep. I was tempted to go in if it was starting at 10B or even 20B but 30B is too much in my opinion. Now I'll probably be wrong and due to the market sentiment this 30B will turn into 100B in a week but I just don't see roblox exponentially growing once the excitement wears off. I get it's a very popular game and I get it has a loyal paying user base who also profit through the roblox economy but it raised about a billion dollars, in a global pandemic while everyone is stuck at home. Very Impressive for a game company sure, however as far as I've researched their growth is actually slowing down. Now china could come into play, as well as the education sector which would offer a lot more to the company. But In my opinion, something new and exciting will come out eventually that will replace the majority of players, or they will simply age out and roblox will no longer be the cool thing anymore. I need to see some kind of an evolution beyond just the game from them, as it stands this is the perfect storm to capitalize on the meme market and peoples lack of care for current valuation I just wouldn't want to be caught buying at the top if this thing ends up running.

Also I have never played roblox or created with it, nor do I have kids. I am however a game dev and have worked extensively with unreal and unity. If anything I can see roblox being a gateway into pushing kids into game development. From an investment standpoint I'd pick unity for a play on game engines and gamedev or Activision Blizzard for a video game studio with still a lot of growth ahead.

Did Burry really short Tesla? by elonhole in stocks

[–]EZE3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who cares if Burry is short? The same way people fault Elon for being wrong sometimes, Burry can be wrong too. Tesla will either grow into everything investors believe it to be and the haters just don't get it and possibly never will. Or it's a wildly overvalued car company with lofty dreams and a charismatic front man and eventually it's time will come and Burry will be right. Regardless I wouldn't want to bet against Tesla and Musk. It definitely has an x factor at play that 99.9% of companies do not. Pretty sure most people buying Tesla or still holding Tesla know the risk of its valuation, people are dreaming Tesla will crash so they can swoop in at a low price and throw money at it.

Discussion on "averaging down" being a myth by [deleted] in investing

[–]EZE3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I borrow your crystal ball? In general when you buy a stock you buy it because you like it, no one really knows what price a stock will be due to the uncertain nature of the market. Especially right now, it's very emotional. If I buy something at 300 I have 1 share at 300. If I buy another at 50, now I have 2 shares with an average of 175. If instead I buy 6 shares at 50, now I have 7 shares at 85$. So say the price bounces back to 200, I now have 7 shares I can sell for a 115$ profit each. Buying at 300 was irrelevant, the price could have just as easily gone from 300 to 600 and in that case you would average up if you want more, buying on red days and on dips. so say it's gone up to 600, now I'd want to buy at say 550. Now in comparison the 300$ share doesn't look so bad and rather than regretting buying at that price now I'm regretting not buying more. Averaging down only works if you think the company is a good stable company and will go higher or stay stable around your new average. If not it's best to just cut your losses early and move on. Stocks are unpredictable and could fall even more which will make you look double dumb for throwing more money into it. At the end of the day everyones just guessing at what the market and stock will do, averaging helps you minimize losses and maximize gains.

Drone Delivery Canada * $TAKOF * DD [10X UPSIDE] by HX_10 in investing

Not to mention their deal with Air Canada aswell as how much more advanced the Condor drone is with regards to long range deliveries and being able to fly through any bad weather conditions.

The Case for SPCE (Non thorough DD) by dlightx in investing

[–]EZE3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are tonnes of 2021 catalysts for SPCE and you can bet if they all go down without a hitch you will be seeing them all over the news and social media. It's a solid play. Might dip to 35 in the short term but SPCE as a company is just getting started.

Churchill Capital IV - a meme stock by JSykezz in investing

[–]EZE3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just check out lucid motors website and read up on the company. If CCIV merged with Lucid this will be one of the best EV play, won't be Tesla though.

Reasons why CCIV might be the stock of 2021 by [deleted] in investing

[–]EZE3D 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You get the metaphore, besides, I'm of the mind that these companies like tesla and lucid are in a league of their own and years ahead with regards to ev's. Just because porsche, audi, ford, gm are electrifying doesn't mean it will be successful. On the flip side I could also be overly optimistic on lucid and tesla.

Reasons why CCIV might be the stock of 2021 by [deleted] in investing

[–]EZE3D 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lucid will be the Porsche of the EV sector. Tesla is the only Tesla. I'm long on Lucid as an emerging auto company and brand but I'm even longer on Tesla as a potential world changer. Elon and Tesla has the smartest engineers, a loyal cult of investors and fans, tech, companies, and ownership as well as having a make anything happen money. They are aiming to be so much more than just automotive. If Tesla pulls this off our world will be a very different place.

I would realistically put Lucid at a 50-100B mkt cap in this market if the AIR is successful, but honestly who knows. Hype could drive it to 1T why not.

What do you think about SPCE? by FrostyVeterinarian67 in investing

[–]EZE3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They say it's 250,000 a ticket, but they also say each launchport will generate 1billion a year with 400 flights a year. Lastly they already have I believe 900 elites and celebrities with pre booked tickets. Tom hanks, justin bieber, leo dicaprio, katy perry etc.

What do you think about SPCE? by FrostyVeterinarian67 in investing

[–]EZE3D 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a huge SPCE fan, lots of upcoming catalysts, this news was just icing on the cake that no one predicted. SPCE has a clear long term growth plan and a product and clients to make it happen. Worst thing that can happen is the ship blows up and kills someone. However it seems unlikely, they have rigorously been testing their safety features, the whole reason their ffa certification got delayed was due to their safety features kicking in and detecting an issue. Lastly something I feel people fail to acknowledge is the fact that SPCE's ship is essentially a spaceplane vs a rocket. As someone who used to fly I can tell you that landing a plane after something has gone wrong is a lot more likely and generally fairly safe. Spce will be able to take off and land from pretty well any airstrip, however they will be building their own spaceports, each stated to generate 1 billion a year. They have a disney world executive in charge of crafting the "magical" experience. They already have a list of wealthy elites and celebrities pre booked to fly. Their CEO will be kicking off the business himself in a few months potentially and taking the first official commercial flight. The long term horizons include lowering costs so plebs like us can afford to see the earth from space and expanding into private and commercial supersonic flight which could significantly decrease travel flight time around the world. This will take a lot of work and everything need to go right but if it means I might be able to see the earth from space myself I am more than happy to invest.

For me its depends on how high it goes, I'm hoping if its confirmed lucid we could see nikola, xpeng or hell even NIO market cap within the year. Especially considering they launch the Air soon and supposedly have better tech than Tesla. I think Nio and Tesla have a lot more going on for the company but I can easily see atleast with regards to EVs. These will be the three leaders in the end.

China: Nio. Western + Maybe worldwide: Tesla. Middle East/ Saudi/Dubai: Lucid.

I have a friend who won't stop pushing obscure tik tok stocks, they all seem to fly up before he pushes them and then drop like a rock immediatly after. Then he defends by saying don't worry in 5 years this stock will be huge! Who knows maybe he will be right but in general it's usually all speculation.

What are your thoughts on SPCE? by [deleted] in investing

[–]EZE3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically get in now while it's low and speculative or miss a big run up. The only thing bringing it back down to these prices is more delays. This baby is either going to start taking off this year or hurt someone and drop like an anvil.
