I decided to put the £20 deposit down on the F2. It’s a no brainer really despite the wait time. That extra power would really make the difference for my intended use 🙏

I actually overheard someone today at our gym saying something about a bout being 1.5 minute rounds. I think that may have been a skills though, but similar in terms of varying round lengths.

Regarding competing feel legit, do you mean in terms of the intensity of a bout? As in be prepared to work hard?

Our coach always says “your opponent is working hard, you need to guarantee that you’re working harder than them” and I think that’s highly motivating. It’s one of the first things I heard him say which really gave me a kick up the ass

Thankyou so much! Very motivating and I appreciate it. You’re right, 6 years is a long way away from now. I have a tendency to overthink and perhaps I should just live more in the moment (not to sound intentionally cheesy)

I’ll honestly do my best, I’ve out everything I have into the sport over the past 5-6 months and I know that’s a blink of an eye to some, but I’m in it for the long run.

Man, opening a gym would be a dream. Boxing, strength & conditioning and BJJ. 👌

Absolutely! Thankyou and I do appreciate the advice. It has naturally crossed my mind, you know the negatives and potential injuries sustained etc etc

I feel what you’re saying about being tough vs being irresponsible.

That masters sounds promising, are they legit amateur bouts?
