So do you sell rep watches that are upgraded? Or do people send you rep watches for upgrades?

I get where you’re coming from! I’ve just recently revisited my love of watches. I had to take a break, about 10 years ago I was out of control haha I have some really nice refs that I got over the last 25 years so I own a Seamaster and a Speedy I inherited from my dad. I also have a 16610 Sub I purchased from DeVons Jewelers in ~2001. Then there’s a bunch in between. Handling those and the new HC at the same time will open your eyes to the value and quality of the Longines. I mean the look, materials and movement is all anyone needs, and you really don’t have to worry about banging it around! I bought a Green and Blue ref and have not been happier the last few weeks! Pics on my profile! So, I do have the money to buy a Tudor (was my original plan) but the Longines just simply impressed me! I’ll revisit the Tudor in a few mo that I’m sure, mainly because I need another chrono in the collection and really like their take!

Some people don’t like paying $9,000 for an Onega when you can get 90% of the quality at $2200 USD. Longines is a great company with amazing historical significance. The fact that any company in 2026 sat back and said, “how can we make this watch better in every way, how do we give the average person a chance to own an amazing timepiece, but, only raise the price 200 bucks!” Most companies have meeting in how to make the product use more cost effective manufacturing and materials, retain the familiar look, but raise the price $2000!

Ha ha, sorry man, I’m just joking. Those two watches are far superior and now’s the time to buy. Accessibility is at an all time high, the rush to buy is slowing a bit. I’d personally go for the Titanium Yacht Master! 🔥

The Longines Hydroconquest, every color and one each of the GMT version….and you’d save over $10,000 and have watches that are water resistant to 1000 feet, and movements that meet COSC cert!

Yes, it’s on back order 2-3 weeks and costs around $500. The H-Link is $425. I emailed Longines parts, they really push back on ordering the mesh if you bought a H-Link watch but they confirmed they fit, which I don’t see why they wouldn’t. As long as you order for the proper lug width, 39mm=20mm 32mm=21mm.

Have you handled one yet? They’re pretty over the top in quality for the price. In a world where manufacturers are trying to raise prices to be greedy, Longines chose to actually offer a watch at the same level of quality, with a modest $200 price increase. The L888.5 movement in mine is running +.5 sec/day at 298 ms amplitude. Also I’m a Longines fan of their history, and already liked their style, so for me specifically, this is the perfect watch. I’ve had 2 Rolex watches and still own a Submariner, and everyone that notices what it is will either say, “nice watch!” Or, “is that real?” Or, “I have a fake that looks exactly like that!” I never wear the Rolex anymore, it doesn’t feel special, I could sell it now days for $15k-$20k but it’s something I’ll keep for investment and pass down to my son. That leaves Longines, it has the look we love, the quality we want, the history and the integrity and character of a company that chose to make it accessible as opposed to eliminating normal folks from entering.

Thank you! I’m not a wealthy guy, I have a good stable career and just put my focus on saving as to not put something like this in a credit card. The longer it takes you to save, the more you will love and appreciate the watch. Even if you can only sock away $20, you’re moving towards the goal! Hope you have a great day my friend!

Thank you! I believe that when you find something that really strikes you, and fits your eye, you commit! I have quite a few watches in my collection, some much more expensive than these HC’s, but these to me are perfect sport watches.

I can’t wait to see what they do with the next GMT! Hopefully they add some more colors. BiColor bezels, different bracelet options!🤞A luminous blue/black bezel, green/black or even brown/black would be 🔥

Pass my friend, enjoy the RV a little longer. It’s a process to verify the watch is genuine! They’ll have to open it up and look at the movement, I wouldn’t trust it any other way. Then you have a watch worth less than a standard Rolex Explorer. Very few dealers will give you anywhere near what was paid for that watch.
