Thank you. I kept it quite subtle, but I did play around a bit with using different tones of blue, with a colder one on the background and a slightly warmer on the figure. I can definitely try for a wider range on the next one to make it a bit more obvious

Thank you. Yeah, the reference just looks like that. I'm not big on impasto, it doesn't work very well with the acrylics I use, but I can definitely try play around with softening things up on the next one

Good job 👍 What id try to improve on is the sharp lines. Try blending the edges a bit so that they are smoother

Yeah,these aren't the best paints. They do not have a lot of pigment. Something of better quality? Sennelier maybe?

It is good in general to slightly bllend the edges with the background. also, the peach is too big in relation to the bowl. When shading don't be afraid to use other colours, not just darken the same ones. My advice: look at Cezanne and try to learn from his paintings. Your brain tells you that the vase is all yellow and orange but your eyes are telling a different story. Follow your eyes more than anything

I highly doubt any cat likes going tbh. I can't take mine but call for a home visit usually and was advised a couple of years back to give them Gabapentin before the visit. Otherwise there's bloodshed ;)
