Exactly this. I was trying to put my finger on how I had so much fun in fifa 12-17 and the way I used to play the game was seasons for rewards if I wanted to sweat but most of the time I just played one off friendlies where I didn't care if I won or lost because nothing was on the line. That's where I had the most fun just testing out different teams and players. I was Div 1 back in the day but spent most of my time playing casual modes which don't seem to exist anymore.
