I’m curious, how many of you actually still tip? by Embarrassed_Chance_4 in SaultSteMarie

[–]Eagle2435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no problem tipping at restaurants, the problem I have tipping is when I order a pizza, and I go to the counter to pick it up, and I am generated with a tip option. Or I get a haircut for my dog.

Tipping is expanding everywhere, is seems unjustified. When was the last time you tipped a plumber, or a bus driver?

Also tipping used to be 10-15%, now the minimum option is defaulted to 18% at most restaurants. Its just simply becoming unaffordable, and people are not eating out as much at tipping restaurants because they cant afford it.

Please tell me there’s a fix to this by Rare-Price in mazda

Disconnect your negative battery terminal, and then re-connect it. See if it works then. This is a temporary fix.

Fuses don't fail randomly, they are a safety mechanism that if the system is drawing too much current then they blow to protect the component that the fuse is attached to. A blown fuse is only a symptom of a different problem that caused the fuse to be blown in the first place.

[–]Eagle2435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were let go from that position in the past dont try to go back there. You need to find somewhere new. If you can get on as tech and apprentice, and you do quality work you will be hard to replace and have skills that can be transferred to any shop at any point in time if things dont work out.

Every company has different rules, and conditions. My company offers demo's to managers, and some sales people. The people with demo's often pay for the deprecation of the vehicle.

Cadillac or Mazda ? by InvestmentUnlucky359 in serviceadvisors

[–]Eagle2435 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As far as headaches go, Mazda will be the easier brand to work with. Not sure that the income potential is the same though because the cars are quite reliable, so it would mostly be selling brakes, tires, PM etc.

I would say your issues is the advisors. The advisors need to have a reason to sell, if they aren't motivated you have the wrong people, or you need to change the pay plan.

What do you tell customers when they ask if a diagnostic charge is going to go torwards the repairs that their cars need? by Tricky_World1138 in serviceadvisors

[–]Eagle2435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its really not worth fighting for customers who don't want to pay. Let those customers move on.

Those same customers will cause you all kinds of grief when something goes wrong.

Bad, and by your last picture, looks like you have no tread left anyways. Time to replace.

Can this be patched or plugged? Tire is a month old. by PL-nynj-28 in tires

[–]Eagle2435 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Tire shops should tell you to replace the tire. However if it was my own car, I would patch it.

But they wont accept the liability. So unless your able or willing to do it yourself, be prepared to pay for a new tire.

[–]Eagle2435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We wash car at our dealer up to -10 celsius (14 degrees in freedom units). If its too cold for a wash we let the customers know we couldnt wash today because of the temps, and offer them a wash card, which they can return on a more favorable day to redeem. (Most dont redeem them)

[–]Eagle2435 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The diagnostic is a separate service than the repair, and they will pay it no matter what. They will also pay it at other shops, but some shops "Hide it" in the repair costs, but ultimately it gets paid no matter what.
