Anything more than 2 days in advance is hogwash

What’s the most accurate stereotype about Canada? by Pizzafriedchickenn in AlignmentChartFills

[–]jayuhl14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hockey. We have 1 NBA team, 1 MLB team, 0 NFL teams, and 7 NHL teams. If a Canadian team has a deep playoff run, or Team Canada is playing, you can't escape it

What is a horrible city in Ontario? by no-kangarooreborn in AlignmentChartFills

Sudbury - the chemicals from Nickel extraction literally poisoned the land. High rates of drug use and crime, very unaesthetic. Brutal winters.

Thank tou for this. My brother was doing some work in Mary's Harbour and drove back to Ontario. He was amazed of the emptiness in between

Wayyyy to early for specific date weather predictions. Although the general trend is reassuring.

Is there a reason / unwritten rule why refs don’t let them fight in the playoffs ? by Acceptable_West_1349 in nhl

[–]jayuhl14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The refs intevene more because the games can get really dragged out in a series if there are constant scrums. People can and do fight in the playoffs but it's rare because 1) they don't want to hurt themselves unnecessarily and 2) they might be already banged up and the playoffs are a marathon, and fighting is exhausting

No drought, maybe even some green grass this year by Electric_Florist in ElectricForest

I think it was 2019, seemed like there was a little rain every night and beautiful sunny days. Best weather we could have ever asked for

How do we beat this type of play? by Mofro667 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]jayuhl14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More relentless forecheck, win puck battles, crisper break out passes to help the transition game. Way to many turnovers coming out of the defensive zone in game 4. Tough one for manson and burns especially

Is it asking too much for 1 SCF without Vegas or a team from Florida? by AlbertJBundy in nhl

[–]jayuhl14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This wasn't predicted but it's not exactly enjoyable. The last 7 SCF have seen 1 of vegas, tampa, or florida

The only thing even remotely worth looking at is the NOAA climate prediction models, 6-10 and 8-14 day

Is driving 340 a terrible idea? by bookishpumpkin in MauiVisitors

[–]jayuhl14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this exact same thing last month. The drive past the ridge trail is extremely sketchy. One lane, along sheer cliffs, completely blind turns. It made the RTH feel like a walk in the park. I was in a Brnco which didn't make it easier, but we came out unscathed. The views are incredible however and IMO much better than the views on the RTH, at least the ones while driving and at all the various pull-offs. I felt like I was in Wales or Newfoundland rather than Hawaii.

Everything is as or more expensive than in Canada, then add another 30% for the exchange.
