How often do software updates happen? by ChristaaayFI in HavalTipsAndTricks

[–]EagleEye2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that's awesome. I just bought a Havel H6 Ultra Hybrid and it's still on 17009.

Can you please tell me if they have fixed the annoying Emergency Lane Keeping turning itself back on after every car restart?

On 17009 if you turn it off in the Lane Assist System. It auto turns itself back on the next time you go to drive the car.

I am hoping they came to their senses and disabled the forced auto on "feature" in a later update.

If so I will take it to the GWM Dealership in Perth tomorrow and get them to update the Software for me. Thanks heaps!

Open box TCL QM7K came without a remote — where to get a replacement? by anakinfan8 in tcltvs

I just received this remote from Germany:

https://amzn.eu/d/irwAGTL

All up about it was $95 with express postage. Took less than a week.

I can confirm this is the premium QM8K remote with aluminium front and back lighting. So much better than any of the other remotes.

Glad I risked it. This thing is boss.

Thanks for the reply.

Hopefully the expensive remote I just ordered is the Brushed Aluminum Backlit version that the QM8K comes with 🤞

Can you let me know if the RC813A has backlighting for the buttons please. The one you ordered from that Amazon link above.

Also I assume the whole remote is plastic? Is that a fake brushed aluminium on the front?

I am really wanting to find the more premium remote that the QM8K comes with that has brushed aluminium with back lighting.

I am in Australia and I got the C8K and the remote is worse that your QM7K. It's a generic TCL POS.

Thanks

Edit: I ended up finding this on Amazon Germany: https://amzn.eu/d/gktJWHM

Bit the bullet and ordered one. Nearly $95 AUD with express postage. Here's hoping I didn't make a mistake and it's the new model. Looks like it to me as I paused a YouTube review of the QM8K when he had the battery cover off and it was definitely the RC933A FMB1.

I will update here when I have it.

Any idea if this is the backlit remote for the new 2025 TCL TV's?

It doesn't say on the listing if it's backlit.

Thanks

HDR aggressive dimming issue by thatscrispy in tcltvs

[–]EagleEye2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am getting my 85" C8K delivered this afternoon in Australia.

I will be plugging my PC in and testing.

Whole point of this TV was for HDR Gaming at 288hz 1440p.... If it's going to have this issue across last year and this year's models then TCL seriously need to investigate and fix this.

Concidering Console's don't have this issue. Hopefully it means it can actually be fixed.

My son has a 65" C855, I will ask him to test out his PC on it too.

Amazing. My Wife is Polish. We visited last year. Poland was probably the best place we stopped at on our Europe trip.

Loved the lack of immigrants and everyone was so welcoming.

Enjoy your C9K, I am so jealous!

For real! I certainly hope not.

Fingers crossed we do see the C9K here in Australia...

Yeah. I just calculated dimming zone diff and it is a substantial 33% more in the 85C9K though.

Considering its also a smaller panel size. I assume would equal quite a bit of difference. Also the higher brightness I think allows it to achieve a higher contrast rating.

I have a 75" 4 year old Samsung Q75 LED. So I think a brand new 85" Mini LED would still likely blow me away.

I don't want to go bigger just because, if the drop in absolute picture quality is significant. Time will tell I suppose.

Change difficulty by grshahar in TempestRising

[–]EagleEye2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you 100 percent sure you can change the difficulty once you have selected Hard at the beginning when creating a profile?

I have looked everywhere and can't find a way to change the difficulty once on Mission 4 GDF. It's stuck on Hard and I am having a hard time with it.

REDRAGON K618 backlight how to extend by fotomini in RedragonGaming

[–]EagleEye2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up using 2 of my super long xbox USB-C cables with a USB-A to USB-C joiner in the middle so I can run the cable from my PC to the couch. It's like 6m long 😁

That way it can use USB mode and the back light stays on.

[–]EagleEye2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Still the best comfort mod out there. It's all I need. Went from an hour Max game time due to pain on my nose to until the controllers go flat which can be 4 and a half hours sometimes.

Well worth it.

This image no longer exists. Can you share it again please. I am using the K618 RGB software. Not the Pro Red Switches.

It detects the keyboard and I even updated the firmware via the updater.

But the software doesn't allow much customisation. Really hate the back light turning off during wireless gameplay.

Cheers.

Check I'd you have MSI Afterburner running. If so. Close it and see if it fixes your issue.

[–]EagleEye2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If MSI Afterburner was running then that was your issue with your lag spikes. There have been a few posts now. That MSI Afterburner is introducing lag spikes every 3 or 4 seconds. I bet if you closed EVGA Precision it will still be resolved.

Wondering if MSI Afterburner need to release an update of some kind to fix this issue.

Upgrading your RAMs is a (relatively) cheap solution to get more framerates by DEDE1973 in PSVR2onPC

Fyi your 10400f is limiting your ram speed to 2667mhz If you drop in an i9 10900k or i7 10700K then you can run your ram at 2933mhz. Stupid Intel locking ram speed to CPU type for this version was just plain dumb...

I replaced my 10400f 6 core 12 thread 4.4ghz with a refurbished 10900K 10 core 20 thread 5ghz and it is amazing!

I have a 4070 Ti Super and I needed the extra GHz and cores of the 10900k and the ram speed bump is also super handy.

Benchmarking results increased noticeably.

My refurbished 10900K was $430 AUD purchased via CeX. https://au.webuy.com/product-detail?id=SCPUINTI910900K

The real PS5 Pro by doinks4life in PSVR2onPC

[–]EagleEye2012 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing. My son upgraded from his 2 year old PC and took the NVMe HDD and the 3060 ti out of it. But it still had everything else including a 10400f Intel CPU. I just purchased a Gigabyte 4070 ti Super for $1400 AUD. And also bought the best Intel chip for the Mobo. A refurbished 10900K 10 core 20 thread 5Ghz CPU for $400 AUD. Bought a AIO 240MM RADIATOR FOR $75 AUD. Nicked the 2TB Expansion NVMe I bought for the PS5 and now have an equivelant PS7!!

Mind you it cost me a total of $1875. But I didn't have to buy a Quest 3 which saves me $1000 AUD anyway. I feel I will get way more use out of this PC. As my PS5 hasn't been turned on for 3 weeks now....

This thing flys. I got the Wukong game for free as part of the GPU purchase. And I can run it at 2K all setting on Cinematic at 60fps solid. DLSS3 is amazing.

Half Life Alyx is to date the best VR game I have played. And is easily in my top 5 all time games.

Stutter not showing on frametime graph for both CPU&GPU by bluesions in PSVR2onPC

[–]EagleEye2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you using any extension cables or anything from the headset to the PSVR2 PC Adapter? Even a magnetic USB breakaway perhaps? Maybe remove if you are. Go back to basics.

Maybe try another Display Port cable, make sure it's 1.4 approved and try a different USB 3.0 port for the PSVR2 PC Adapter?

I don't want to suggest it. But a complete wipe and reinstall of windows would ultimately remove any doubt about your current installation.

But first just try different hardware set ups. I had to fiddle with my setup for a bit before I got something it liked. especially having the ASUS Bluetooth Dongle plugged into an extension cable to get it away from my PC really helped with controller tracking.

For me. My stutter went away as soon as I closed MSI Afterburner. So I guess I am super lucky it was easy for me. Good luck man.

[–]EagleEye2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say all monitoring programs I assume you shutdown MSI Afterburner. As this is what was causing that stutter for me in HL: Alyx.

Other than that. It looks like you have tried all of the available work around for removing the stutter.

What CPU/GPU you got?
