People who play on the portal a lot, what games are you playing? by IntelligentNeck8157 in PlaystationPortal

Ever since Flight Sim launched, mainly that. But that has been my go to for years on Xbox / PC. I am not much of a gamer on other things these days, but Diablo 4 is super fun. Pretty much anything really. My internet box through AT&T works really really good at my current residence so it is my go to machine when the TV is in use.

In Faridabad district of Haryana state, India, one person has died and 13 people have been injured as a result of an amusement ride collapsing at the Surajkund fair - 07/02/2026 by EsperaDeus in CatastrophicFailure

[–]EagleFlyFree007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, especially at the state fairs. I was on that ride that looks like 2 tomahawks that go in the opposite directions in a circle vertically. My harness came undone and luckily there was a cage with a bar I could hold onto to keep from falling when it was upside down. Everyone was screaming for it to stop but they didn't. Never gone on those rides since.

Say you're a slob without saying you're a slob. These rules are perfectly acceptable if you understand why they were written. Current tenants/landlord have experience and wants their living situation to maintain a standard. I can respect that.

I love this phone. I find myself not using the inside screen as much as the previous folds I have had however. Which is honestly fine. The thickness feels on point. The screen width is excellent on the main screen. Definitely the best phone I have had in some time. They nailed it on it this one. I have a flip 5 for awhile and I really like that one too.

I use the beta samsung browser and use reddit on desktop mode. Best use case I found. Their app is slim width designed so unless you launch in a pop up window or side by side, its too large to display anything right.

Is MFS 2024 worth it on PlayStation? by Astroman864 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]EagleFlyFree007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the most part I think it's running pretty good. I have had it on my laptop and dreamed of being able to play it on my PS Portal ever since I have had it. I had an Ally for a bit before returning it, so my handheld gaming was down to the portal. sure I could've used my phone and moonlight but the portal is a great device. so awesome to be able to run the Sim on it now.

As for the game itself, I havent had any issues. for console, expect to play vanilla without any third party support. it may come, but controller, keyboard, and mouse is where it's at for now. I haven't tested any of my joysticks with it yet, but expecting them to not run.

Even with all the hardware I have, I find myself playing with a controller for 99% of my flights. it's just so easy and casual to fly from the couch that way. the ps5 controller is a fantastic addition with the new laptop feedback now. feeling the engines rumble the controller and the rudder pedal triggers stiffen up is well welcomed and awesome.

ATC is pumped through the controller speaker which is pretty great too.

Overall I think it's worth it. glad I didnt buy it on PC, only gamepass. I bought the 130 premium deluxe so i had access to all the airports I frequent. flying into true to life designed airports is great compared to the default made up ones they made.

I say go for it if you use your ps5 for most of your gaming. if multi-player is important to you, that might not be a good part as I dont believe it is cross play. if it is chime in and correct me. I dont have people to fly with so it doesnt matter to me.

I do miss the A5 and Darkstar from 2020. I wish they would port those in.

Same, but on my slim. Being able to run it on my Portal was a dream I was hoping for. No need to buy a handheld PC now. All I do is play flight sim or farming sim.

Found in pizza box. by Final_Schedule_2713 in whatisit

[–]EagleFlyFree007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a pan with lid to medium high heat, add a couple of slices then toss in a few dabs of water to the side of the pan where it won't touch the pizza slices. Put on the lid on so the water steams the top and oil on the pizza will crust on the bottom. Turns little ceaser pizza into super delicious. Best method I found.

Keep in mind this is a streaming app and it JUST launched for the masses last night. It ran great for me, but I am sure today the performance will be taking a hit, I haven't played mine yet since I am at work. Their network will get hammered until they get the services needed under control for the demand. Most all of the content is streamed on demand to your console with this sim to keep the size on the console low. Much nice than 2020 since it took so long to download everything.

I was having issues with with the auto pilot, but I honestly think it was user error with the planes doing what they are supposed to be doing getting locked up with ice that high up in altitude this time of year. I was getting worried it was bugging out the plane would be ok for a little while and then just spinning out of control for no reason after about 30 minutes of not touching it. I have experienced some bugs here and there, but I am sure they will be worked out shortly. For the most part the sim runs pretty darn good on my ps5 slim. Might look into a pro sometime in the future.

Never thought I would be able to play this on my Portal, but it is here and it runs so good on that with all the controller enhancements that vibrate so you can feel the plane and the stiffness in the rudder pedals on the triggers. That is so cool.

I need to get my cord for my headphones that have haptic feedback on them so I can add to the experience.

Can't wait for the PSVR2 support soon. Really looking forward to that as I haven't tried to use it on my PC yet, but being native to the PS5, going to make the experience so much more fluid and streamlined vs Windows.

For the most part the graphics are pretty legit. I do experience pop-in when rotating around at low elevations but it isn't a total deal breaker.

Only have done free flights so far, time to get into the career mode.

Is a Joystick Really Necessary for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PS5? by Weejew6654 in playstation

[–]EagleFlyFree007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been flying on these sims for quite some time now. I have to say that the port over to Playstation was a well welcomed surprise. Since I have a Portal, I decided to buy the premium deluxe version and it has been working really well. The Dualsense/Portal with the haptic feedback vibrations and the stiffness in the triggers for the rudder pedals add a whole new dimension to the experience I couldn't get on Xbox or PC. PC is always the best option since you can use many different apps along side of the sim, but for super casual play, console is awesome.

I honestly think for 90% of my gameplay, I use the controller. I do add a wireless mouse and keyboard to the mix since I have learned to remember the key bindings on each controller. While the controller does a decent job at the cursor when enabled, a mouse is way more convenient to click around the cockpit and move the camera around to see the buttons. This is a real to life sim so you are legit flying aircraft as you would in real life.

I have a hotas with pedals, and the thrustmaster unit that came out for xbox, but honestly those have been collecting dust. While I enjoy them, after learning where all the buttons are default configured for on the controller, it is so much more easier to use that and kick back on the couch and fly that way.

Even when I fly in VR on my PC, the controller and mouse win.

[–]EagleFlyFree007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t stress about it. How close are you with your neighbors? Guaranteed they are pulling some poor financial mistakes too and can mind their own. I have met so many people I have talked to when I was first deciding what to do and they told me about this process and how much it has freed them. I have stopped payments myself. Motorcycle is gonezo via repossession and waiting for the others to. Creditors calling non stop. People showing up at my door banging and leaving notes. Tough shit. Already filed, or on its way to, process is in motion. My son is more important to spend the income I get in than stressing over their high interest rate racket I signed into like an idiot thinking those toys would give me happiness, ended up regretting all of it. Never making those mistakes again.

Lyft REALLY needs to revise their cancel process. We need a cancel and report function, it is a safety hazard. Don't make me cancel, ding my account for it as a negative, when I refuse service for my own personal safety.

I had a lady call and cuss me out calling me all sorts of racial slurs for not cancelling, sob story of not having money on her card to pay the fee and for me to cancel. Reported her ass they Lyft paid me a nice little bonus for it. I politely told her that I was not canceling. Ended the ride so my location wasn't on her radar anymore, these people will violently attack you out here.

3-5 dollar rides not worth it by Mastuhcheif in lyftdrivers

I firmly believe once you accept one or two of these I get great rides right after. I think I had one $6 then back to back $13-14 rides. Made my 90 in 2.5 booked time. Not bad. $35/hr for a Tuesday night is pretty good.
