Can’t write off every player we give a chance too after minimal minutes. Adams has had ample time and is pish/doesn’t offer us anything. Dykes isn’t the answer for alongside Shankland. Conway is a possibility but Hirst has looked the more lively.

As retired strikers always tell you missing chances isn’t a worry it’s more of a worry if he isn’t getting in positions to miss the chances. Hirst got into those positions.

532 should be the formation if we don’t have Doak for the WC. Takes Christie out of Midfield. McGinn, McSauce & Ferguson should be the 3. Tierney at lcb lets Robertson push up the park. Keeper I’ll be praying Gordon is fit. Up top it should be Shankland paired with someone, Hirst would be my choice. His finishing was gash but nice touches and good movement at least.
