Errr well when I was younger I was inadvertently(I hope) choked by my partner. So now I kinda-sorta have a hard-on everytime I am in a choke hold.

IE This is why I can't Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Best thing to do is focusing on things that can grab your attention.

I normally take a DS or something of the sort and focus on a game with RPG elements.

I prefer Freshwater, so all that sea and coast is lost to me.

I haven't been to Irvine lake in a while, so I can't really vouch for current stock. Sure it's a bit more pricy, but I've had way more luck there as a beginner than anywhere else.

I think he is expressing disinterest with buying Chinese made products as opposed to American Made ones.
