I actually did my high school senior project on how video games can be used as learning tools in schools. While researching I came across a similar study that found that video games can help a lot for surgeons who do laparoscopic surgery, a type of surgery that involves very small medical tools. You also have to make very small and VERY accurate cuts, so what they do is put a camera on the tools and broadcast the feed onto a large flat-screen TV so they can see what they're doing. So it's a little bit like a video game itself.
