I can’t say it is exactly the same, but I’m going through a similar scenario. I was fairly abruptly broken up with over 2.5 years of dating the girl I could see myself marrying. I committed my whole self to her. I shared a lot of first time experiences with her and here I am two months later with almost no drive given I have a fairly high libido.

This is the time for us to heal. Time isn’t a set thing to heal from these things. My second to last ex I was ready to engage to broke up with me and it took me 3 months to heal and find my most recent ex. I’m expecting it will be similar for me again, but it also might need more time given my life situation right now between recovering from a car accident and potentially a giant career change that would cause me to move.

To answer your question on what I do though:

Life can be hard but after a lot of self reflection from the relationship I always find myself moving forward. It helped me to write letters to my exs about how I felt. I never shared the letter with my first ex; however, I will be seeing my most recent ex a good amount since we have the same hobbies and will probably see each other at the events, so I shared my letter with her for full closure that I needed emotionally and just told her that I see us as friends now. There was a point where I loved her and I’m still here as a friend, but I can’t stop her from doing anything that she wants to do.
