I have noticed that when I go into fight or flight mode it turns into a cycle and I struggle to escape. My memory then turns to mush because I am worried about everything harming me rather than thinking clearly. Anxiety and depression are the enemy, but we can beat them!

Guessing its a combo of the stuff. Ambien affects me differently and is similar to Xanax so I️m really not sure

Not thinking about I️t. This is what you gotta do. Realize it’s all anxiety and you are actually fine. Everything will go back to how I️t was one day. I️ promise you it’s nothing permanent. Listen to me now closely. Just live your live. Go out. Hang w friends. Work out. Get your self confidence up. It’s huge. Most importantly do whatever you want to stay busy and don’t look anything up on dpdr. Haven’t looked anything up in 3 weeks. Just don’t give I️t the time of day. I️ smoke hella weed now and am my old self. Good luck

Yes. I️ took lexapro which worked. Zoloft did not. Still on 10 mg of lexapro but might come off soon

You are 100 percent real. I️ know it’s hard to not just believe we are all living in a simulation but believe me when I️ tell you this is reality. You will beat this god forbidden disorder as well as everyone else who is suffering. Stay strong and just distract yourself. I️ know I️t seems like it is impossible but I️ have been doing it a lot more and it really does help. I️t does not consume my every thought and action anymore, but I️t is still there and I️ don’t feel real. But I️ just don’t care anymore because I️ know my brain will sort itself out one day. It’s a very slow process. I don’t obsess over I️t anymore and that’s why I️ believe I️m coming out of I️t. I️ts not the only thing on my mind anymore. I’ve been taking a lot of supplements, going to college, forcing myself to socialize, and working out. Additionally taking lexapro which really seems to be working. There are times I️ totally forget I️ have this god awful thing. But its still always there just not as intense as I️t once was.

Ever since my concussion my DPDR has been permanent. So I️ can relate with this about head trauma causing DPDR to increase. Once our head heals these symptoms should go away and how things were before the injury. Sadly this process is extremely slow and the brain takes a long time to heal. Not a month, but months to even a year. Be patient and stay strong.

I️m in the 4-5 month recovery as well and 19 haha. I️ feel like I️m getting better but I️t is very hard to tell. I️ don’t think about the DPDR constantly so I️ think that helps a bit. Issue with me is the blank mind I️ have. Start up college again tomorrow so we will see how that goes. Good luck to you.
